Nightmare! It's supposed to be fairly loose from the factory- sounds like the previous owner buggered it up!

Corrado Club National Day reminder Sunday 24th July

It's funny- always happens! We all need name-tags, with Forum name and real name  Only just realised who Purpletom was as he was leaving  Were you in your VR? Don't remember seeing it... ---------- Post added at 09:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:32 PM ---------- Forgot to say- congrats to Mark on winning the car of the day award- all that buffing really paid off- looked superb! 8) -
You can do it from the top! Takes 20 mins. Never understand why people go to all the trouble of taking the seat out etc. I use a small flat bladed screwdriver from on the side of that screw and tap it with a hammer to turn it anti-clockwise. Use a cable tie instead of refitting it ;)

Had a good time today! As above really- perfect place to meet up, chat about life, Corrados and the universe, then watch the hill climb 8) Felt pretty knackered by mid-afternoon- didn't get to say bye to everyone who'd gone further up the hill to watch- was good to see y'all today though :) -
Got another! Was just leaving the school car park yesterday, and one of the dads crossed behind the car with his kids- pointed and said 'Now THAT is a lovely car!' 8)

Just to keep you all appraised, Admin/Mod discussions re: classifieds is ongoing- we're striving to bring you the best system. Gonna lock this, or it'll just turn into yet another classifieds slagging thread. We know how people feel, and we're working on it ;)

Nice one, Bill. Any plans?

Had a meeting the other day, and we were all walking back to our cars and one of the women (her son was in my class last year) said 'Oh, so that's your car! Ollie's always talking about it!' Then one of the others said 'That's such a tarty car! Very nice though!' 8)

Thanks for your efforts mate- much appreciated! 8)

When you refill the coolant, use a 2l Coke bottle with a hole punched in the cap. Stand it up in the expansion tank so it fills up really slowly. Done this a couple of times and didn't get a single airlock. you can also fill up via the top rad hose, but I prefer the first method. It's one of those jobs that seems daunting, but it's actually very straightforward and self explanatory once you get started. Take all the lights out, then the bumper off, then slam panel. It's prob worth getting new bolts for the lot as you're in there. Should take an afternoon. Just make sure you support the engine.

Jim, don't worry about it- don't think I'll be able to give mine a clean either + the paint needs a proper machine polish :( Will still be going though :) -
Definately paint & exterior trim!

As you know this isn't the place to advertise, please post an ad in the correct place!

Prob worth keeping just in case- they won't fetch much at all if you sell them I'm afraid, as they're pretty cheap new.
-
Thanks Jude- yep, all replaced with plenty of copperslip!

In true Corrado fashion, the n/s link was seized solid and I ended up having to saw it off so I could get a socket on the end :( The other one came off fairly easily though :)
-
Nice seats, Matt 8) They make all the difference!
-
Nearside snapped, and when I got under to have a look, I started to undo the wishbone nut on the o/s one and it snapped straight away. Pretty sure they're the originals.
-
Thanks Tom- pretty much as I thought.
-
Both of mine snapped a few days ago :( Never done them before- looks straightforward though. Is it simply: jack car up, remove front wheels, undo the bolt that secures the link to the wishbone, undo the 17mm bolt on the ARB unscrew link from ARB (there doesn't seem to be much room for this as the ARB is quite close to the outer CV gaiter :/) fit new ones Any tips would be much appreciated as I'm tackling it tomorrow.

Depends how much... is it a G60 FD? If it's a reasonable price, do it! Will defo be doing this at some stage 8)
-
Remap and pulley? If not, get them done asap! 8) Makes a huge difference ;)

Welcome! Looks tidy 8) Any mods?
