    The bolts are common sense. Think there are 4 painted ones, then there are the two that connect to the rod (one above, one below). The loom is a nightmare! Doorcard off and plenty of patience, grazed knuckles etc. You have to undo every plug and then carefully feed them around and eventually up through the hole with the rubber boot. Sometimes it will seem like the plugs are too big and keep getting snagged, but they will all go through with patience.

    Got a late bonnet, which is in good nick. It's located 15 mins from Bristol Volksfest. You could collect it on the way back or something if you wanted it.

    The Beru ones on vwspares.co.uk are pretty much the same as VW ones (same make), but much cheaper. Dubpower leads are also good and a decent price.

    I know there's another similar thread, but my prob is slightly different. The car turns over fine, but takes quite a few goes to catch and fire up. Everything is working as it should, battery perfect etc. Only happens on hot days. Any ideas?
