Thanks for the offer Karl! This thread is showing what this forum is all about 8) Will let you know... between you and Jim, reckon we've got this covered 8)
-
Thanks Karl- that's pretty damn impressive!
-
Thanks Lew- will keep you posted. Just also found out that the place who did my paint a while back do wheels. Will try to get a quote tomorrow.
-
Jim, that's a kind offer! That would halve the fuel bill... I'll let you know. Thanks mate! ---------- Post added at 8:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:18 PM ---------- Thanks Lew. Will bear this in mind too...

Sounds too good to be true... want to get some feedback first before I make a 6hr trip and spend £100 on petrol. Local places all seem to be around £60 + VAT per wheel!
-
Anyone got any experience with these guys? http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk/ Sounds like a bargain- will be worth the trip/petrol, so long as they're good. Any info will be much appreciated!

Should have a wingnut and a washer. Pence from VW ;)

Got a pair in perfect condition £20 posted.

/\/\/\ Agreed! 288s are brilliant. Also, a decent uprated headlight loom is worth its weight in gold. Lupo/TT wipers also good.

16" VW Vento Cup alloys made by Speedline. After a set of these, preferably with tyres. Anyone?
-
Would always try the immobiliser plug/clean with WD40, as it's free to fix and a pretty common problem. Also worth checking all the intake hoses. Make sure they're all connected properly/not split/blocked etc. A blocked ISV pipe will cause stalling.

Not surprised! Amazing car- can't believe you can bring yourself to let it go- you put so much into it and it really turned into something special.
-
My subframe has been off recently and rear R32 bushes fitted (advisory at last MOT, so thought these were probably the prob), but it still does it in exactly the same way as before. Strange.
-
Me too! Exactly as Kev mentioned above- when I reverse out in the morning, or out of my carpark space at the end of the day. Hardly ever happens during a journey.
-
I hate you! Really looking forward to seeing it at National Day. Especially love the wheels- been on the lookout for some for ages now, and just can't find any in 16". There were some on Pistonheads recently, but the guy didn't bother getting back to me :( . Do you mind me asking how much you paid for them?

That's looking VERY good mate! 8)
