Can't wait to see it in the metal... fingers crossed for Sunday!
-
Alex, was just winding him up- old joke ;)
-
Sounds like a plan- don't you need an engine hoist to lift the engine out though? ;)

Berkeley Castle VW Show, Sunday September 18th PICS

Nah, sorry Ian- been on school camp this week and just haven't had a spare minute :( We can meet in Berkeley somewhere. I'll look on the map later. -
Monkey, your dash is black! 1992 was the switchover. However, the early and late dashes are identical. It's only the metal mountings, vents and centre console that differ. I've swapped a late black into an early car before no problem ;)

Come along in the Rat! Would be fun to have it amongst the Rados. Great guys- will hopefully be good. We'd better meet up somewhere before hand so I can distribute tickets. We need to be onsite by 9am. -
What parts for the corrado would you like in Carbon Fibre?

Interior door handle surrounds. -
Now you know how it feels!

Yep, reckon it was you then! Well done for getting spotted! Welcome, by the way 8)

Yep, great to see you've got some enthusiasm back for the old girl, Jon. You should pop down sometime- been a while!

I read somewhere on the net that a little more air can be had by removing the snorket and throat that sits inside and in the opening of the airbox. Is this true? -debateable and if so, should the plasticsurround in front also be removed? - No need to remove the plastic surround, unless it will get in the way of any ducting you are planning. Any gains? - Doubtful I don't mind a little extra roar, but this is not the purpose. More air is needed. For now I will not drill the airbox. Not untill I have another one second hand. Then possible remove the carbon canister from underneath the airbox, and duct a tube from front up to underside of airbox. Anyway that is later. For now it's just a question of the snorkel and eventually the plastic plate in front. I don't want hot engine air sucked in. -Don't drill it! No gain whatsoever apart from a nice noise. You are just destroying an expensive part!Your best bet is to add the extra ducting through the carbon canister hole. A few have done this. ProdigalSon has a few details in his gallery thread IIRK. Best airfilter for a G60 is the standard paper one IMHO. Larger surface area, much better filtration than cotton ones. You don't want ANYTHING getting into that charger!

Two today! Blue one near Charmouth, around lunchtime, then a white one in the afternoon on the way home up to Glos. Was in the vRS, so didn't bother waving.
-
Best place for OEM VAG discs is TPS or VW.
-
Got Red Stuff pads all round on my vRS and hate them! No where near as good as the standard pads imho. They're hard wearing, but have no initial bite whatsoever. Would never get them again. As for discs, standard VW as mentioned above are perfect. Best discs I've had though are Black Diamond Grooved. Had them a couple of times and they are superb IMHO. The 'standard' Brembos that GSF sell are also good.

Spotted a blue one coming down the hill from Tortworth/Charfield towards the M5 J14 tonight just before 4pm. Waved, but you were looking the other way.

He's trying to save money!

You will get left with a lot! If you decide to break, leave the shell as a roller unless you definitely know of a salvage company who will come and collect a non-roller.

Got the passes today. They include: Free entry for driver, passenger + any children under 16! Can't argue with that! I have 2 left, but can get more if required. -
Does look pretty impressive! A lot of interior condensation in pic 3 though...
-
Probably £2-2.5K Thing is, it will be a year before you see it. Keeping track of all the postage, finding packaging etc is also a bit of a mare.

Oh man! Don't let what's happened recently put this out of perspective. It's all sortable...

Agreed- you can't beat a good zombie flick! Not seen Fanboys, must get it on Lovefilm... Super8- cross between Cloverfield, Stand by Me and ET. Loved it 8) 73/100 Desperately Seeking Susan. Never seen it before, and we watched it as part of the 1980s season we're having. 5/10. Not my cuppa, but liked the nostalgia factor. ---------- Post added at 08:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:43 AM ---------- Also saw The Fighter recently- very good! 71/100
