Brilliant news Greeny! 8)
-
Only fitted to early cars AFAIK.
-
I wouldn't bother mate. Just use two small lengths of copper pipe ;)
-
As above- definitely use the Lamin-X. Pretty easy to do- doesn't take long :)

getting rid of sound deadening from under bonnet

Lots of white spirit, a stirdy ice scraper and some disolv-it (available from Tesco etc near the washing powders- smells of oranges). Just make sure you cover the whole engine bay with an old dust sheet- the stuff gets absolutely everywhere! Oh yeh, lots of patience needed too... -
Aye, very sad to see he's only fit for breaking. Apparently in quite a state :( Amazing how cars can get in such a state so quickly with a couple of years of neglect :(

Good stuff 8) They get under your skin, don't they?

Phew! Sounds a bit weird though. Did Ross try the alarm code, or did it just start randomly? No worries about the cds ;) It did have an uprated loom, but looked a bit knackered. Got DG to check it out and Dave said it wasn't actually wired up anymore. Had planned on fitting another but didn't get around to it...

Welcome! Get a Gallery thread started ;)

Hi Dave! Standard or fettled?
-
Only time something like this happened was after I'd disconnected the battery. Re-connected after doing some work and nothing. After much head scratching and trying to hotwire the starter, I remembered it had an alarm code. Typed it in and it started straight away. Hope it's this simple for you! ---------- Post added at 08:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:09 PM ---------- Laura, did you ever post those cds? ;)

Does it have the sill protectors with the Corrado inscription? If so, how much?
-
ps- it shouldn't be the ignition switch as that was replaced with a brand new VW switch during my ownership ;)
-
Have you tried the alarm override? The code is in the book and the pad is situated just above the driver's window. If that doesn't work, try the factory immobiliser. Remove the driver's undertray. Follow the little black wire from the ignition under the dash to a little black box. Unplug the wire (small black plug), spray with WD40 and plug/unplug a few times to clean the connections.

That's the perfect solution! Love the 'evolution' shots 8)

A nice update there, Kev. That block does indeed look good considering it's been dormant for so long- top work! What management are you gonna run with this?
-
I know mate ;)

Such a shame it's only fit for breaking :(

How much is the car lowered? The Jetex would be designed to fit a standard car. Exhausts often knock on the rear axle when the car is lowered. Sometimes they can be adjusted enough, but sometimes they will also need cutting etc. Tried the new cable yet? Got one the other day too, but not tried it yet... -
Cheers dude. Well, DaveStorm got in touch out of the blue and said he had to sell. I'd asked him for first dibs a while ago. It's a well looked after car, with very good history, perfect mods etc. Just needs some paint (at the end of October). Love it. The black VR has gone to a very good home with LauraJ 8)

Good grief, Andy :( The valver is so minty and you put so much time and £££ into it. Couldn't you just put it into storage, or is it a money thing?

Hey Chris! Huw's looking superb as usual! 8)

That's why Jim likes it...
