  1. Big thanks to t700bes for several items. Excellent communications, pics etc. Thanks buddy!
  2. Was flicking through Golf+ in WHSmith today, and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice little interview with our very own Jim re: CCGB! Was even more surprised to get a mention- the Mrs got a mention too  Thanks Jim ;) Some nice publicity for the club :)
  3. I've lost count of the times I've heard people saying their GSF mount has failed within a year. Maybe you'll be OK :)
  4. Anyone fancy this? http://www.vwshow-berkeley.com/ Never been before- thinks it's a small, mostly aircooled show. Lovely venue 8) I've emailed about a CCGB/Forum stand. 1. CazzaVR 2. Swompy 3. GlosterOx Entry is free with clubstand pass. I have 2 left. The pass also includes free entry for a passenger and children under 16! Meeting place 8:40am: Sharpness Docks Picnic Area- designated by the blue picnic arrow here http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=367500&y=202500&z=120&sv=sharpness&st=3&tl=Map+of+Sharpness,+Gloucestershire+[City/Town/Village]&searchp=ids.srf&mapp=map.srf
  5. Welcome- sounds like you're a Dub-nut, so you should fit in well on here! 8) Any pics?

    vr6 engine cover

Still available from VW. Around £50 IIRC.
  7. As Jim said above, it's the unleaded blank that was used on earlier cars. Someone's just fitted the alarm button to it.
  8. Wahey! Brilliant news Alex 8)
  9. Ah, yeh, if the indicator is early, I won't need it either!
  10. Toby, I'll take both the blower motors for a tenner then + the other stuff pending pics :)
  11. Brill! Onwards and upwards! 8)
  12. There's loads! Haven't got any decent pics of mine yet though- not had it long ;)
  13. If you need to do the bottom end as well, go for the 24v. Alternatively, you could find a rebuilt 2.9 12v, or a good 2.8 12v OBD2 engine from a Goof and just swap the engine. This would be the cheapest option.
  14. Toby, also after the heater blower so long as it runs OK and is quiet :)
  15. Toby- I'll take the number plate plinth provided it's intact, parcel shelf with 6X9s if it's black, passenger indicator if it's very good with no cracks :)
  16. Jim, I'd be really interested if something similar could be done for the fogs/indicators 8)
  17. Bill, that is absolutely gutting :( This is just about my fav Corrado- perfect in every way, thanks to all the amazing hard work you've put in. It's always been an inspiration to me 8) I hope we don't lose you from the scene- your input and knowledge have helped many over the years- you've been missed in recent times! :( I'm sure it won't hang around long.
  18. As Swompy mentioned above, please use the proper classifieds. Lockage.
  19. Still sounds a bit too high. Maybe worth giving the coolant a good flush through with a hose pipe, then add some nice new G12++ coolant from VW. If that doesn't work, it may be worth investing in a new oil cooler, or a Mocal oil cooler which will have quite an effect. New rad would be worth doing too. Don't go down the low temp stat route- as said earlier, it will constantly be on the warm up cycle giving crap MPG and could cause more long term damage as the extra petrol can wash the oil away etc causing premature engine wear.
  20. Welcome! Looks like you've got your hands full there- good practise for when you eventually get a Rado
