Go for the SMX-S. Used it several times and it's excellent. Just as good as the revered Redline MT90 IMHO 8)

Standard VW, although the Beru ones from VW Spares are pretty much identical (same manufacturer) and waaaaaay cheaper ;) Dubpower are also good quality and price. Recommended by DG Autotech.

Have you tried taking the handle off? Just one screw near the latch. Think the driver's one has a reverse thread, but passenger is normal (ages since I've changed one!). Either way, I think there is a small arrow on the side of the screw. Once off, you should be able to push the mech down easily enough. Then, buy one of daves16v repair kits ;)

It's all subjective really. So much depends on mileage/condition. However, a Storm will always command a higher value than an equivalent condition VR6. Usually at least £500, sometimes thousands more. Moved ;)

Loved this film- had never heard of it and watched it on the strength of the cast. Very funny- the funeral scene was a classic!

Yeh, saw Pandorum a while back- quite a decent sci-fi film. Lost it's way a little at times, but a good ending 8) Role Models: surprisingly funny! 72/100 The Bank Job: dcent heist movie based on true events- 65/100 Some good stuff coming out in the cinema at the mo- want to see Super 8 and Cowboys and Aliens. Then, next year we get the first Hobbit film & Prometheus 8) Hope it lives up to the promise...

Jake had it RR'd somewhere else- DG don't have rollers... yet ;) Was it obd1 then? Not unheard of for them to make good figures, but a little surprising considering the state of the engine. I guess it was nicely run in :lol:

Reflectors are all the same AFAIK. Think there are only two right-hand drive versions (of the glass)? 3 left-hand? Could be wrong!

Yeh, they're interchangeable. The later ones are deeper.

Headlights- glass and surrounds. Fogs/indicators are quite different. The early ones are completely seperate. The late fogs come in a plastic frame that the indicator clips into.

It's got awesome suspension on it- talk to Ian (GlosterOx) ;) Also got gas flowed head, Supersprint exhaust, BMC etc 8) ps- sent your top mounts and engine cover out to you yesterday- should get to you next week sometime.

:( Very frustrating, Laura. Hopefully they'll be able to get it sorted this morning. As Ian says, reckon we should all get the arm done at the same time as the clutch as it's so cheap. Never really thought about it before and no one seems to do it as a matter of course.
