New screens only last 5 years?

Spotted a black C yesterday on the M5, had M3 style rear lights and a sticker on the drivers side rear window. You over took me and then I saw you again at the services just outside Worcester.

DG Autotech - 288 / 312mm Brake hose kit and rear mk4 kits.

Was it these ones? http://goo.gl/w9jMb And like Kev said, are the ends the right type and size for a straight fit? Cheers. -
It'll NEVER dry out. Mine is in the same state at the mo, it's been wet for weeks :(

A friend of mine has a Civic Type R and I am always amazed at how much tuning parts for Jap cars cost! Extortionate! Apparently its because they all come from Japan and a weak conversion rate plus shipping and so on makes it all really expensive.
-
Ha, if I had seen these earlier I would have had them. Only just up the road from Yately as well!!

I've just removed my 50mm and fitted a 90mm on my car which I have also just taken from a standard height to lowered. I know it will get battered but it looks so much better and I have the 50mm spare if I change my mind.

Another one bites the dust :(

If the TT ones fit they will do but I'd rather get them from DG :) -

Sorry to bump an old thread, but wondering if these are still available? -
Car looks fantastic mate. You are obviously a keen car cleaner, have you done a thread on DW about how you got it so clean inside and out? I'd be interested to read about the products you used.

Forgive my ignorance, but what would be better about these bearings over taper bearings?
-
Ah right...so Plus suspension models are, VRs and G60s?

Well, coilovers are on :smug:. Took some pictures tonight but the fading light means they are a bit grainy. Really pleased with how it sits, it's still bedding in but I might go a bit lower at the back and a bit higher at the front we'll see. That looks gorgeous! The last picture in the write up is basically car porn! I'd love a pro to detail mine, but I think (unless you know someone) you must be looking at a bill of £400ish for a full correction? My car isn't worth it

I just fitted coilovers and the front mounts were fine but the back ones were duff. Looks like the fronts were done fairly recently even though there is no history for them. They didn't have the expected slotted nuts at the top, so I think they were pattern parts. I had to replace the 4 nuts and bolts at the bottom of the front struts as the threads were all corroded, the back ones were rusty but reusable.

VR is better :bonk: who said mature?

Thanks supercharged!

I noticed the other day (because I had the bonnet open) that when I turn the steering wheel the front top mounts move...is this normal or have I done something wrong when fitting the new ones?
-
Fitted the drivers side coilover and removed the passenger side shock ready for the coilover tomorrow. Got my 2 new rainsport 2s fitted.
-
Ah excellent. I just got some of those, were they easy to fit? Anything I should watch out for? I'm fitting them next weekend.
-
I would also like to know. Looks good though, just needs a clean

Heard about this on the radio this morning. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/12614090 I'm interested to hear what you all think. I'm on the fence at the moment. On one hand it could be brilliant in that there will be no more uninsured drivers on the road, premiums will go down and the world will be a better place, but in reality I'm expecting no change in premiums, no change to the amount of uninsured drivers on the road and the insurance companies will simply be lining their pockets. I'd imagine there will be a lot of 'projects' up for sale when it's enforced (might be a good time to buy?), unless insurance companies introduce a special zero mile policy for projects or something like that?

Second post (going back in time....a bit) Lots of pics!

Ok, so this is just a bunch of pictures for now, I know how you all love pictures! This is what the car looked like two years ago on the day that I collected it. Tatty but not bad for a £500 VR6 -
Don't know about you lot but spring/summer is coming and I can't wait to get cracking on the Corrado. The winter has been pretty horrible and feels like it's lasted for a year! In Surrey we have been lucky enough to have a couple of sunny (albeit cold) days recently and for me personally I feel like it's time to come out of hibernation and show my C some love. I guess those of you with well lit heated garages don't mind winter so much but all the same you gotta love long warm evenings when it comes to some fettling!
