Am I right in thinking the door gaps can be adjusted? Both doors have fairly large gaps at the moment with a fair bit of wind and road noise coming through.

Can anyone recommend a cheap phone/mp3 holder that will fit the verticle vents you get with the early Corrado dash? All the ones I've come across only seem to work with horizontal vents.
-
Bugger, thought that was going to be the answer.

Bit of an odd one this, some rather nice chavs decided to jump up and down on my bonnet a few weeks ago so need a new one. With them being so big not many people are willing to post so I'd have to collect and I only have the Rado. Anyone tried to fit the bonnet in the boot of one?

I've just done the age old mod of detailing the inside of the headlights to give it a darker/smokey look. I'd really like to do the fogs and indicators in the same way rather than using film but I can't find any info on it. Anyone here attempted it? I'm tempted to just give it a try but worried about trying to find decent fogs and indicators if it turns out crap.

Got you, makes perfect sense. Will do that first before taking the door cards off and searching around.

Is that the strip of metal that has the bulb holders on? It didn't look in too good a shape when I looked before.

Cool, which connector and which pipe? Am I blowing towards the pump or from the pump the the handles?
-
Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll be spending my weekend taking my interior apart!
-
Cheers for the suggestions, will have a look into it at the weekend. Haven't touch the dash so will focus on the rear first (although I haven't touched that either).

I lost my dash lights a while ago. Replaced the fuse which had blown and it was fine. They went again after a while, replaced the blown fuse but now the fuse will last literally a minute before it blows again. Is there anything obvious I should be looking for or any easy tests to rule out what the problem is before I take to a garage to check it out?

I have a problem with the central locking on my Corrado. When I lock the car only the driver's door locks, but I can hear the pump running on for a while after. If I press the passenger lock down it goes down quite easily as if it's trying to go down but needs a hand. If I unlock the car from the drivers side with the other door and boot locked, it will unlock them all. The pump will also run on for while after even though everything is unlocked. Does it sound like the pump is going or could it be the pipes?

Thanks for the help guys, always learn something new. Think I'll stick to looking for an early wing.

I need to replace my passenger side front wing. It's an early spec car. I keep seeing people noting whether the wings are late spec or early spec. I've never noticed any difference, is there?

Been refurbing the Artec splits that I got. First of all stripped the crackle paint and rubbed the spokes down. Then gave it a nice coating of gloss black. I gave the gloss black rims a few new coats of paint as well. Then with the help of my bro we built them up. Was nerve racking as it was the first time I've ever done this and they are fairly old wheels so we could run into problems, which we did! But luckly my brother was on hand to sort them out. Unfortunately, there are a couple of bolts missing which I'm trying to source and the tyre company sent out one wrong tyre, so I haven't been able to do all 4 wheels yet. But I've got two made up with tyres on so I trial fitted them at the weekend. Pics are a bit poor as they are from my phone. Old wheels. New wheels fitted. Unfortunately the wheels are catching on the coilovers slightly front and rear. I picked up 3mm shims but they are still catching so I'm going to try 5mm to see if that works, otherwise I'll have to go bigger. The arches probably need a light roll (hammering in my case) just to make sure the tyre doesn't catch, but overall I think they look awesome on the car.

Just saw pictures of it in Autocar at lunch and thought the exact same thing, rear side windows and the swage line on the quarter panel are very similar.

The white one looked lovely 8) New one looks superb too, just need lowering a tad and I'd leave it at that personally.

You should come to Falmouth/Penryn, never known so many Corrados in one little town before, I've counted way more than 10 going about. I think it's sitting pretty good as it is, is there much room to drop the front more?
-
Does look very cool on the cookie cutters 8) How badly does yours scrap and catch the ground. Mine's an absolute nightmare, worth it though :D
-
If you just want to clean all the gunk off it and keep it standard, brake cleaner with an old rag is probably the best thing to use, removes oil and dirt better than anything.
-
Just added myself :)
-
Looks awesome 8) So are you from the Newquay area? I live in Falmouth and have a matt black Corrado as well.
-
Think that was me was me if it was last Monday, were you in a black Ibiza? First spot on here I think if so[/quote:35iecgfa] Spooky, I was on the M5 on Monday in my matt black H reg Corrado! And it's very low!

It can upset the handling if you push your car to the limit, increasing the rear track more than the front will increase understeer, but it won't be noticable with everyday driving. The other thing as well is, if you're going for spacers that big, you really should get hubcentric spacers.
