Nice one Goldfinger hope all is well.
The Kamei kit sold it to me for sure !
I fitted some gauges to my old g60 mate - I cant picture how I did it now but I will be taking the oil bar pressure gauge out at some point as its not functioning correct so will get some pictures. I know the two grommets (cover screws either side are the same as the B pillar grommets above seat belts. It might be mate that the late dash has different fixing holes chap perhaps that the screws house to. I cant remember the fixing legs at the bottom of mine- is your gauge panel original mate ?
yeah life is pretty good & apart from the gauges, now ive finally got the Modena's, the only thing left for the VR are the gauges
yes the gauge panel have VW markings & part number but i couldnt figure if it was a corrado or a golf part - i actually got it off Zak the loom maker from here
thanks the help would be cracking. i have got the gauge fitting instructions off here in the wiki IIRC but im not quite sure how they wire in & where they fit to.
i will dig them out & take some pics to send you for comparison
ive still quite a hoard from the parts you gave me so let me know if you end up needing anything & i can take a look.

nice to see you back keyo, hope you are well
cracking spec on that find! not many of us out there with an X1 kit & nothelle's too
my old 16v was non ABS too but that had electric windows
oddly, looking at the pics, i have one of those centre console pods & gauges but i couldnt figure out how it fits - there are 2 locating kind of looking things at the bottom of it
any chance, when you have time, you could try to see how it fits for me pls? i would be very grateful

how do i start a thread in the parts for sell section?
trying to sell my freshly built corrado race engine.
i think you need to be a paid member to advertise on the sale threads

I have Toby in a WhatsApp group chat along with another Moderator or 2.
Ive hardly been on so wasn’t as aware as I should be of what’s going on. Apologies for that.
Toby has replied on the WhatsApp group and said he’ll have a look in.
thanks easy, appreciate your post. i still try & come on here at least a couple of times a week or 2
i didnt even know there was a whatsapp group & ive been a mod for years lol
good to know that toby has said he will have a look - it would be great if he can return most of the functionality
id be happy to help him with testing after fixes if he needs or wants

Hi
just wanted to say thank you for putting this all together for us, I recognise that it has been a lot of work, emails and time to do it. For someone to commit to doing this for people who are mostly complete strangers is very admirable.
I have now received my loom in the post and I am very pleased with the quality, and will get around to fitting soon, a big thank you to Zak for making them.
hi phil
thanks for the kind words, they are very much appreciated
it does take quite a lot of time & effort to track it all etc but i enjoy speaking with Zak, ive known him through this forum for probably 15 years, & having used his looms for a similar amount of time i understand how helpful they are to other corrado owners
though it is very quiet here lately i still fell we have a decent group of people who will help each other where possible
im pleased you like the loom - FYI i run Ring xenon max bulbs & find the combination to be excellent
welcome to being able to see in the dark lol

So is Toby the owner of the site? does anyone else have admin rights?
I'd like to join, but I'm dubios...... if like I said before, its been put out to pasture then I'll probaly not...
honestly, i think so but the lack of contact does concern me
i think there are a couple of other moderators but im not sure how active they are - i was kind of hoping someone would post with some news tbh
-
The page numbers are an absolute ball ache. I think because it is impossible to navigate around the site, that is why it is so quiet. Real shame
i dont know who to contact anymore about issues
i have tried toby several times but not had any reply - im kind of lost on how to get this place back to some kind of normal functionality

heads up all - looms are ready & tested & can be sent out once the balance has been received by the maker 🙂

hi everyone
ive had an update from the maker, copied below:
This job is a nightmare. Came back for 5 days and now it’ll be at least 10. What a mess.So this will unfortunately push back the date of delivery for looms. I have all the gear now and the cables are cut to size so that will give me a head start. They will be done before Christmas but I understand that folk might want to pay after. Let’s see how it goes. -
Available for sale again minus the front seats for £2500
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17Q4ibERRf/
i bet the front seats are up for almost that too....or they brought the car just for the seats

afternoon all
2 new requests this have been received but still nothing from the outstanding 3
i will give it till friday & then close this buy off & get it moving
the maker is primed ready to order the connectors, he has most of the other parts already, once he has received all of the deposits.
i will mail him after this post to let him know the latest
thanks to all for patience, i understand getting these group buys to a point of go ahead can take some time
just to let everyone know that the maker only covers his costs & a little time & as for myself, i just do it to help fellow owners out to see in the dark really lol

hi fella
shed is tidied so will dig into the boxes for those bumper brackets for you - do you mean the kinda 8 inch slanted plastic things will a locator each end?
i also dug out the facia from the workshop - part number 536858203
part number comes back as a corrado part but i dont recall my early having any locations for the bottom pins - hmmmm - though it did have the tape cassette holder in the console & i didnt think to look when removing to do the matrix
