  1. good move it caused a 10 day delay with my valver as I had to have the rack swapped out for the correct splined version
  2. ha ha ha well **** me this could produce some opportunities to take the **** out of systems that regularly **** us around & create some funny ****ing posts I find it funny as **** that you can type the full ******* text & the system lets you think you can get away with it & happily potty mouth away & then bam no way mother ****er as soon as you hit the post button it stars the **** out of your post PMSL EDIT: apologies to the OP
  3. welcome nice looking VR are they BBS RX 2's? they look similar to those i put on my valver - which coincidentally was the 1st rado I owned many years ago & then brought it back about 2 years ago
  4. hi sean FYI having recently replaced the steering rack on my valver I should mention, if you are not aware, that the racks have a part split based on chassis number they differ in the spline, one being coarse & the other being fine, & do not interchange might be worth you stating what version spline this has to save any issues
  5. Christ all mighty what are some of the prices like for such tiny parts OK red badges were only for a very limited time but talk about taking the ****!! EDIT: oooo it just starred my profanity automatically - didn't know it did that lol oh & stickers all the way for a nice red badge you can keep changing the sticker if it fades
  6. done :) fingers crossed as the valver would now qualify
  7. no problem let me know if you get anywhere with it & I will keep an eye out for the reply from the company
  8. WHOA! where may that be if you wouldn't mind divulging?
  9. thanks Dox I have sent them a contact with the request will post here if / when I get a reply
  10. I have the same with my drivers side relay oddly, it still does it intermittently even though I swapped the 2 relays around. I was going to check the wires feeding into the relay box to see if a loose connection could be causing it to buzz as most days it will work ok for a 'time' (which differs every day) but then starts to buzz as if the relay cant decide if it should be open or closed I had emailed the guy who does the rayne automotive leads, as he advertised a heated seat loom, but he said he brought a bunch from the US & hasn't had any since IIRC when I looked a long while ago I was seeing some stupid prices considering it is just a simple relay
  11. one side of my VR had this done last year I got sill repair panels from VW Heritage, took about 4 weeks to arrive as they got them from classic parts in Germany sill outer part numbers... LHS 535809839A RHS 535809840A
  12. hi m8 sorry for the delay in reply I will drop him an email & give him a heads up for you I do know he was ridiculously busy but am aware he was making a batch of looms at some point when time allowed
  13. first time using the workbench on the weekend so easy to put up or down! made the gf a 2ft square planter for a strawberry bed in the garden. being able to secure the clamps in the bed of the bench was very helpful & they held strong whilst the bench itself was rock steady a nice result out of a few bits of old timber which was heading for the log burner lol
  14. I will be needing some in the future as have to sort the valver flaps out need to pull the air box out again 1st though booo hoo hoo
  15. eww not nice news baron - hope you get it sorted
  16. tidy thanks does anyone know if there are specific steps needed to be followed to remove & replace a sunroof motor? my VR current one works fine when I wind it manually, & it always closes on full closure, but often just does nothing when I try to open it on the button I have a working spare to put in but not sure if it is a simple swap? thanks in advance
  17. thank you, i did understand that part but appreciate you clarifying as said i don't want to taint your thread, i was just wondering why the prices are so high? i did many hours research into exhaust options for my VR prior to buying but recall i could only find 2nd hand miltek systems also - FYI marks2 my longlife system seems spot on in terms of noise output. very quiet at cruising & m'way speeds, howls like a good un when given some boot & the down change burbles are goose bump inducing :D
  18. indeed but at least it blows hot on the windscreen & clears it well especially now it also has a new blower motor - its like gale force in comparison to the old one!
  19. ha ha yeah i know m8 - they are so holy they don't even flap about in the wind ;)
