  1. In that case we would all be to blame for any crime we know may happen but do nothing about... refer back to earlier comments re grans keys. On another point.. How stupid are these people? Surely they could have simply suggested he didn't ask her to drive at all or said "Are you ok to drive darling as I am drunk or have you had too much?". Still not agreeing that he has done anything wrong though... She chose to drive and it really isn't material who asked her what.
  2. really?? mine is smooth as silk thats one of the main complements I get about the car [/quote:1tilpiin] Mine was really smooth as well... Up until something blew up last week and now not running right at all.
  3. Would go with 1st one... On side note did see: NO 51R NO yesterday... Thought that was quite good.
  4. To an extent he's accountable but as already said, death by dangerous driving and banned from driving?! Why is he accountable at all? Are we not all responsible solely for our own actions? If someone I know turns out to be a paedophile am I then guilty of that as well? Even being considered guilty of an associated offence would be wrong in my view. We each decide our own actions and make our own decisions and should stand by them whether they be good or bad. Do NOT believe that he has done anything wrong at all... I would go as far as saying he is a victim of the drink driver in that he has gone through the trauma of the accident because some selfish ar$e decided that drink driving is ok for the night... Far from being charged with anything he should be claiming compensation (yes yes I know compensation culture etc and I disagree with it but am making a point here ok!).
  5. Hi mate You still ok for this weekend? Thanks
  6. Don't agree that he was punished at all! If someone asks you to drive an dyou have been drinking say no... Simple as that really. the decision to drink and drive was not his, is not related to him asking and has no connection to him in any way... The way this is going do I now have to grab people in the street who I believe may not be very good drivers "just in case"? I suppose I'll have to pop round my nans for example and take her keys away as she is getting on a bit now and isn't really too safe anymore.... Just more insanity for the country... Reckon I'll emigrate...
  7. yes you can... park up at your parents house and sleep in the car... treat the nearby facilities as a conveniance and wander in/out as required eating whatever you find, drinking whatever you wish and generally helping yourself... Oh and don't forget to take full advantage of the lauundry facilities.... All of this seems a very small price to pay for the right car...
  8. Cheers for garage info... If there is gonna be a meet it needs to be soon as the Rado is getting sold as soon as MOT etc sorted.
  9. :( I waited in and you didn't call, no letter, not even an sms or Pm.... I feel so unloved now... :D You gonna be able to do this? No worries if not I'll take to garage as per original plan.
  10. Tell em you'd be happy to pay the victim £30 for support as soon as they show you the victim.... I'd gladly pay double to the actual victim...
  11. So..My turn for the usual dumb question.... How much?
  12. Rado coming out of garage on A30 between Sunningdale and Bagshott this evening around 6 and heading towards Bagshott... Didn't catch type etc and didn't wave/flash etc as I was in TVR so you'd have just thought I was a loony. Also seemed to have different headlights? 1 standard and 1 angel eyes (drivers)...
  13. Know I am going to sound really stupid here but...What is a damper box? What does it look like and what does it do?
  14. Errr no... The 80s were cr*p and the cars were worse in truth. Let's be honest the Nova is a bloody awful car with shoddy looks, handling, power etc. Put that with an interior apparently designed by an 8 year old who couldn't be bothered and it aint great whatever way you look at it... However, add the magic that is nostalgia and it looks a different fish alltogether!
  15. LOL.... Now trying to find a Nova on autotrader to see if it is a good idea financially... Used to own one years ago and it was quite good fun (as long as actual speed was not required and perceived speed was adequate anyway)
  16. That is actually quite cool in its own way...
  17. Indeed... A very valid point this. In fact I'd go as far as to say it could make the task "fiddly" if the motor and sunroof are in different positions...
  18. So we all agree it is easy but can be fiddly if the motor and sunroof are not correctly lined up then?
  19. Like I said in post 3     Yes... Just reiterating the point...
  20. Changing sunroof motor is a real doddle... Just DO make sure both motor and roof are in same "position"... Most likely make sure in closed position or it can get a bit fiddly.
  21. That would be very helpful indeed :D Address: GU15 2DS... Set that in Satnave and call me on 07876507320 when close. Thanks again Darryn
  22. Assuming that is the issue... Do need to get it checked first. No VAGCom myself... So, would you be interested/able to come take a look?
  23. All Anyone have a decent garage they could recommend in Camberley? Need to get: 1./ MOT and 2./ Car picked up to get fixed... Think (although I am non-technical) that lamda is broken. Engine revving up and down when started... Needs looking at anyway. Thanks
  24. Have a 95 VR for sale with 17" wheels.... Also have a set of original Speedlines for sale in pretty much perfect condition... Should I sell together or seperately?? have completed just a few mods to the car and apart from the lowered suspension everything to reverse the changes is included just wondering if this is a good idea or should I split it all?
  25. Yes, stretch to £3k and buy my Corrado VR6. VW reliability, rust free, 95, 190bhp, hatch back.... That's all those boxes ticked then.
