u`ve all mine buddy- tell me if you need them mailed in a higher res?? -
as far as i`m aware if changing the handles for passat ones you need to change the catches aswell!! i`m sure there is a post on here somewhere with part no`s etc.
-
got toyo`s from mytyres.com... cant fault them at all only done 1k but still am well impressed-especially with the squeel you get on roundabouts in the dry!!!

I'm not sure!! My car a Golf G60 can have either a pierburg or a VDO apparently. (mine was a pierburg) Not sure if people with corrados have the same problem?? (Caios G60PWR, signed in on Bens computer)
-
The VDO intank pump from VW isnt avalable for the next few weeks as they have none in stock. (they dont make peirburg pumps anymore) Also you carnt use a pierburg fuel sender on a VDO pump. If the broken pump is a pierburg, aswell as replaceing it with a VDO pump you will also need the VDO fuel sender . I have this problem at the moment. The cost of a VDO pump and fuel sender is about £150 from VW!!! As they have none available and the cost, my local garage has striped the pump and is going to replace the internals with a Bosch item. If you have the same problem let me know as I'll have a solution in the next couple of days. (Caios G60PWR, signed in on Bens computer)

cheers henny will have a look tomorrow! its actually on soz`s car-she`s me bird!! i think it idle`s at 1500 because that switch isn`t being touched- oh and it had a new throttle cable just over a year ago becose it was doing the same thing surely it wont need another ( although i wouldnt be surprised knowing corrado`s!!! )
-
on top of the engine where the throttle cable is attatched there is a semi-circular bit of metal that you can rev the engine with and it touches a little red switch that turns on the isv at idle (as far as i understand) (sorry if this is a little confusing-i dont know the correct terminology??) is there any way to adjust the spring so it has more pressure to pull the cable and therefore touch the switch??
-
defo a common c problem i`ve seen a couple the same as that ( including mine ) i reckon a new one is the only answer!!??

hey before my clutch slave cylinder went my light for my handbrake was intermitantely flashing on and off next day got into my car and the clutch pedal just stayed on the floor topped up my brake fluid (as they work from the same reservoir-as understand it!! (1.8 16v))and pumped the pedal up and down for ages finally sprung back up on its own and drove me 150 miles home sound pretty similar? when i removed the slave cylinder the rubber was perished and after replacing i`ve had no problems!! (touch wood)!!

on a run from somerset to n.wales my oil went upto 125(was quite worried) then two days later my oil cooler went then 3months later head gasket!!! sits now about 104-6 after getting oil cooler then head gasket done-although had a brief moment at 124-it seems to have cleared up now am thinking there was an air lock in the system somewhere water has always sat just over the middle mark
-
my girlfriend got 40mpg over about 30 miles just sitting at 50-60mph in her 16v normally we both average 28-30mpg
-
does it make a difference if the cars car is fully laden or just you in it--mine always worse with passengers(who needs `em???) no screach noise!!??!! just bangs especially over bumps! a ramp would help but you could jack it up...use a proper trolley jack and axle stands if your getting underneath your car(safety first!!!) look for rub marks at the point where the exhaust crosses over the rear axle-you should see thats its quite close anyway! no idea about the schreach though unless the exhaust is rubbing constantly???!! good luck bud!!
-
mods when we can afford them...just had head gasket done(ouch)!! mines lowered 40mm, stainless, k&n, grooved and drilled disks, sprayed vr grill, snap-off momo wheel and a little bit of sounds! sonia`s got a custom stainless, full respray(after some s**t key`d three panels) and vr grill, done when the previous owner had it(rich h (shopping trolley) `s girlfriend!!) apart from that totally as new
-
exhaust i would say-look for rub marks on the axle and the exhaust! mine bangs but only since putting stainless janspeed on although it is a good fit and my cars lowered... try changing your exhaust rubbers...i have to do mine 2-3 times a year does anybody think its worth getting uprated ones?? do they last any longer?? i swear by cable ties??!!

will check earths again...they looked fine at a glance. but it seems to have calmed down now... on normal daily drive today it sat at 104-6 and no needles jumping??? not gonna get a chance for a proper run till monday but (touch wood) it`ll be ok!! coolant etc fine when i checked , how can i check for an air lock and how do you get rid of one?? cheers.
-
yeah i got vsib approved cat1 toad a606i fitted £275 including taking out the old one and full closure etc...
-
the car feels great...lots more power from 2500rpm which it didnt have before....makes me feel like its an electrical problem!! the battery went flat whilst it was standing and the dash did some funny things.... flashing hazards and resetting everything-dunno if thats got anything to do with it!!! i dunno-!!!
-
i had head gasket set fitted, oil seals and a full decoke??? its a reputable vw specialist & i got years warranty-should i take it back??? only had it back for half a day- so havnt had time to check coolant etc....wot could cause jumping needles etc?? will drive it tomorrow then check everything but i thought the reading were a bit out-anything else i need to look at??
