No the amps have been fine so far, there is enough ventalation around them as they are not actually resting against anything. So heat can escape in all directions.. there not turned up all the way anyway.. where abouts in Bournemouth are you mate?

Hi, it depends on the speaker grille, The later ones are still avavilable from VAG. The early passenger door grille has been discontinued but the drivers is still available.

No, I've made a shelf to cover it all up, its gott acoustic felt over the section where the 6x9s are, so you cant see anything from outside. see pic. Yes, it's the finest wild Buffalo hide from South Africa I had to use 3  only joking its vynil with a layer of 1/2" foam underneth to give it that padded look. The MDF was 18mm for the Sub box, and I used ply for the floor and the sides. The sides are hinged at the bottom and open with touch latches, (push to open push to close) so I can still adjust the amps. No sorry, I haven't got any measurements anymore, cos all I did was measure it at the time then cut whatever it was to fit. The 6x9s and front components are amped through one 4 channel amp and the second ones for the sub(s), so nothings coming from the headunit. :) Bally, yes the enclosures are seperate, seperating both the sub enclosures and 6x9s :) Cheers 8)

Just thought I'd post some pictures of my boot build I built over Christmas, was going to wait til I had the second Sub in but thats going to be a while now... Built the rear speakers into the enclosure so you cant see any thing through Acoustic Felt on the parcel shelf. I've done it all so I can still get my spare wheel out too, was'nt really up for driving around without one! :D

What is it you want to do to your bumpers?, as I've taken on doing mine myself. I have done a fair bit of plastic welding and none of it has cracked or shown through. I have recentlly just finished completed flushing my rear bumper and am half way through a chopped front bumper. Here is a picture of the rear bumper before I prepped and sprayed it.. If your in the South then I might be able to Help? :?:

Spoke to fk, the lights are not on the fk english site as they are mainly aimed at the american market not the english for some reason. They are not made by inpro like some of the fk lights they are made by a german company that only supply fk hence they are pretty damn rare!

I'm currenty doing a boot build with a 10" Sub, and was wondering whether to port the box or not. I have not had a ported box in the past and have always had decent bass. what difference does porting the box make? and are there any advantages or disadvantages to porting? Appreciate any advice cheers

For the rear mount i'd recommend getting a golf Rallye one. it's the same as the early mk2 (Non hydramount) but the componund of the rubber is alot harder. got mine from VAG at £50 somthing... can get the part number for you if you wish. Got a Volksport WorldCup front mount which is fanastic. But wasn't cheap.

Cant beat coilovers mate, but otherwise the best thing to do would be get an Eibach or Avo spring kit for around £120 from Deutsche Performance - Cheap and next day delivery. use them with your standard shocks until you can afford to upgrade them! check out their site http://www.deutscheperformance.co.uk.
