Hi All, Looking for a stainless four branch exhaust manifold for my G60. I think my original manifold has a crack in it :( If anyone knows where I could get one it would be great to know. Cheers, Troy.

I have some mould making materials left over, I am considering making a mould for this with what I have left :) Haha no probs, I don't know how I missed it to be honest! I have extensively looked into the money/costing side of the resin infusion process and I am happy that there is a great enough margin to make it fairly viable. Were only starting with the corrado as we know the car well enough and have parts readily available. I am aware that parts have clips etc that are hard to replicate, I thought of the rear plate plinth before I saw yours and had exactly the same idea in regards to the fastening bolts. I don't have experience with composite materials but I am handy with mould making and finishing materials, it may be a steep learning curve for us but I am convinced we can turn our hands to it with a little practice. I will look into a bulk supplier, The figures I have been putting together have been based upon a square meter being 20 GBP with a good enough margin for sale, If I can find a bulk supplier then that will be even better. I am glad you are happy with the idea of competition if there were to be any, but as you say you aren't trying to make a majority of the parts for this car specifically. That's more our aim I guess! We have made our first mould as of yesterday! It needs finishing but it looks good! We decided on the door grab handle cover. We are going to be buying materials to wet-lay this as a trial next week and have a sample by the end of next week! ---------- Post added at 08:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 AM ---------- Hmm I've never seen these so my car may be missing them? I'm guessing that they aren't visible from out side the car? The exploded diagram is a bit small to see... -
Sucks when you see this kind of crap happen, I mean I like cats... But I like Corrados a lot more! Feel really sorry for you mate...

Haha, I wondered if you would remember! I am very good mate, I hope you are well too. We are looking at sourcing our materials from their parent company Easy Composites at the moment but I have no doubt that we will find a way to get the equipment cheaper as we learn more. I'm not too sure how competitive their prices are on the carbon twill in bulk orders though. -

Hi Matt, Thanks for the positive comments! We will keep this post updated. Stretch and I have just put in an order for our materials to make moulds for the interior door grab handle covers. We are aiming to get the mould made and sorted in the next week and then order up some epoxy and carbon weave and go from there with a trial wet laying. If we are confident our moulds are good enough we will invest in a vacuum system at that point. Not sure if that was sarcasm or not? but credit to them, for some reason I never noticed it when I had looked on previous occasions and it isn't particularly difficult to find either :D Well, we all make mistakes. You're right too, they do look good. If we don't end up making our own (as it already exists) I'll probably be buying one off you haha -

I have already thought of this and this is a part that I would like to produce in the very near future. I need to get my hands on an unbroken column surround first though! (if any one has one I will make you a CF one for free if I can borrow it to make the mould ) Really, can't find it on their site? Link if you can give me one would be nice :) I am intending to make wings in the near future but I am practicing with smaller parts first. I am intending to purchase a resin vacuum infusion set up within the next few months... I saw your thread with regards to shipping the job out to china, it's a good idea but for those wanting the indicator holes deleted (as I do) its a no good option... Also about wrapping, some of the plastic parts are getting harder to find as are some of the smaller more rust prone parts. The part supply shortage can be solved by making moulds and producing the parts from CF is the way I'm thinking. Its not just about the performance side. -

SFT only do an American style plate surround/plinth as far as I'm aware so no good for UK/Euro Market. Why not if I can potentially make the other parts, e.g. Spoilers etc for less money? Also as the original shape rather than the extended design that spoon fed do... -

Thanks for the replies so far guys, interior door handles would be easy enough, the seat tilt handles would be a bit harder as you would have to find a way to fill the void and create a slot for the peg to go into but ill look into it. I am very keen to make wings but the production cost in the moulds alone is probably around 2 to 300 quid so as a starting point is a bit risky. Keep the ideas coming please guys! -
Hi Guys, I'm looking into producing parts for our C's out of carbon fiber. I've been trying to think of smaller parts that are getting hard to find. I thought of starting this thread to see what you guys can think of. So far I've thought of the rear number plate plinth, wing mirrors, front grills, interior hand brake tunnel trim, suspension strut caps and the small metal trim that surrounds the rear number plate light. What I'd like to find out is what you guys would like to see made available and how much you would want to pay for them (no silly low prices please, I intent to make a high quality product here). I do intend in the future to produce wings etc (seeing as performance trim has gone down the drain) but that will need a bit more experience with smaller parts first. Cheers, Troy.

My friend who saw this happen posted it on Facebook a few days back. The woman managed to end up on top of a bollard...

Whats the worst thing youve done to ur corrado
Graphite replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
Was running my G60 with a stripped out interior... Just picked up a box of noodles from a takeaway (in one of those fancy american style noodle boxes). Was in a rush so I put it in the door cavity under the window mech.... Decided it was hot and rolled the leccy window down. Got to where I was going to find the box had been crushed by the window to the point where I had noodles all over the inside of the door. Lovely :) -
Cool, Yeah sorry should have mentioned I need early stuff. Matt - Ill take that, PM me paypal details mate! Mimjed - how much for the headlight and indicators? Any pics?
-
Hi Guys, I'm also looking for a set of indicators (for the front bumper) with clear lenses. Let me know what you have. Troy.
-
Lol yeah I know it will probably turn up sometime soon, most likely in a very bizzare place too. The Pipe John is supplying me also has the pipe from the breather but thanks for offering to look
-
Somehow in the three months that the car has been off the road, whilst it has been sat in my garage, the pipe has managed to misplace itself! I'm terrible for loosing things :( When I bought the car it didnt have one, the boost return was blanked off. Hency why I had to but one about a year ago lol. -JMC, I'll see what John comes up with, if he doesn't have the pipe from the breather to the return pipe I'll have it from you for definite.
-
Wahey John! Just saw my charger on Sunday, It looks very smart! Just got to sort out this pipe and it's back on the road.
-
This is the second one I've had to source in just under a year. I need a boost return pipe for a G60 setup. This pipe goes from the underside of the throttle body and leads down to the return side of the charger. Also need the pipe that attatches to the breather on the cam cover which then attatches to the boost return pipe. Cheers, Troy.
-
Hi there mate, Shame you are breaking, looks the business in the piccies :( I know this is a long shot but I'm guessing you wouldn't want to split the rooflining from the rest of the trim? If you would, how much would you want? Cheers, Troy.

Check out blenkj's build thread, not sure of sizes but I know they look sweet on his G60! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?42986-my-g60-finally-started-on-it.-bare-shell-rebuild.&highlight=g60+finally

I used to have a 4mo and I loved it... apart from the rather high fuel bill if you have a lead foot it was great. I used to drive it when I was at Uni in Blackpool through a pretty icy winter, it felt so safe and gripped well. As it has been said get some coilovers as its like a boat stock. I had a pipercross cold air intake for mine and it sounded awesome. Went under a tunnel and came out the other end with sticky pants
