i was given £2885 for my Cat B write off...1.8 16v J plated with 97k on the clock and all history/reciepts....just keep fighting.
-
that car is just plain hard to do....the amount of time and effort to make it look like that..impressive...just plain impressive.
-
i have one spare going with a good tyre (legal tread)...i'm wanting £15 for it.
-
Thanks neil!! i wish more of the people that bought stuff off me posted here too...i'm sure they were pleased. Thanks again. sanj.
-
thats genius...but why leave the handles untouched?
-
did you get it sorted steve? Just wondering what the whole thing was over thats all...hope its sorted though. Sanj.
-
so its as easy as changing pounds sterling into euro and then sending it in an insured envelope to germany?
-
i too started with them for mine...and they still continue to insure me ont he polo. the only snag i have right now with them is the fact i made a claim in june (the accident with the corrado) and it still hasn't been settled, as the police report isn't out yet so no one knows who is more liable. They are saying i have lost my no claims now and are going on the basis its 50/50...i thought i'd have my no claims until the matter was resolved, as no one knows who's fault it was entirely yet. good luck anyway steve, hope u sort it.

From 1.8 16V Corrado to 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa :(
dubbprince replied to CorradoWannabe's topic in General Car Chat
well guys..i now have my polo 16v...not a bad car at all, quite nippy...but no corrado  Oh well...could be worse...i could be in a corsa 1.2 ahaha -
polo polo polo!!! definately...it has soo much better build qaulity than the ibiza...i just bought one for £2500, black 16v...watch this space! 8) My last one was a 1.6CL black mk4 too...they're great cars and have unrivalled reliabilty compared to fiats, fords or vauxhalls...in my book anyway. there was a woman in coventry selling a 1.4CL black with 78k on the clock...last i phoned her was a week ago and she wanted £2k for it...you could get her down to £1800 now if she still has it, its mint and has FSH and black interior. POLO "R" registered; black; 78,000 miles; s/h; pas; e/w; alarm; tax/MOT 01/05; £2,295 ono Tel. 07811 956646 LOUISE… A444-Griffin Pub…Griff House Hotel Volkswagen Polo £2,295 Location: Coventry Also check: http://www.porka.net sanj. 8)

my bottom half of the airbox has the corner cut off for a VERY LOUD subaru style induction kit noise. You could buy that off me to try for £8 inc the delivery if you want? Pm me if your interested.. sanj. p.s. it scares the hell outta old people.
-
if you had it on both cars, i suppose if you had an accident and it was your fault on one car...you'd lose your no claims. So effectively you wouldn't have any on the other either, it becomes more complicated for them to track how much no claims you have on each i think...correct me if i'm talkin rubbish.
-
if you need digital clocks and dont have them adie...gimme a pm i have a set from mine with both digital odometer/milometer
-
anyone got a sound clip as to what it sounds like? i've never heard a G60 dump boost...
-
seriously...we need something done about it, i mean if the DMC deloreon guys can do it!! and they have a parts company especially for the car.
-
nope..for seperate items it'll have to be GPC or some vw tuning places, like venom or performance solutions. If you look at http://www.tuning.co.uk, you'll see a one piece reiger 3slat grill and eyebrow for £82 delivered...to me in northants anyway.
-
any more updates on the new lookin eyebrow steve?
-
you have to ask yourself...why? i think its just a bit lame looking...does anyone actually buy these?
-
Ouch- that Vr you had really looked stunning if i imagine it without the damage...glad it only took 6days for a replacement and it's in good hands if BoostedDubs is doin the work mate. Them brakes are just enormous...love to imagine the power you have to match them :)
-
thanks to Darren for the PM and now also John Mitchell too...just waiting for Bilal to make an appearence. I'm stunned how much help the G60 corrado owners have out there, cheers for the help guys...i kinda have an idea of what i need to do now. Bally- Just wondered if it was that lad that came edition38 with you, hows your car gettin on anyway mate?
-
i'm not mate...no car so far. Just dreaming for now...but if i have a rough idea of costs, then maybe next year i can sort sommit out while i serve my sentence. But for now...no rado...the missus 'was' goin to get a mk2 golf, but turns out she now wants a SEAT arosa :| Who's your mate with the g60 then?
-
ok well i will hopefully have about £500 to spend on a few first mods to a rebuilt G60 (stage 4)... I'll go for the merc intercooler, as its a little cheaper and both are a bit of a fiddle to fit properly. I'm waiting for Pipercross to start making hoses for the G60, 16v etc...so they might work out a bit cheaper than Samco and SMS hoses. The red tops sound good to me for £110...aren't grey's a bit better? the boost return mod is a certainty at £38 then the Bosch FPR at £48 (do i need this?) RSR outlet too would be good £70 I'll get the mocal oil cooler and alloy catch tank too from demon tweeks, unless anyone can get them cheaper...along with s/s braided lines. £200 odd? The toothed belt drive kit at £375...now that sounds like its an improvement, would it be a much better option? As long as i know how, i'll be doing the work myself upto a certain point...just to save £££'s, if i need the charger looked at Darren...you'll be the first i ring mate. I'll keep anything stock if its no different from performance aftermarket stuff, like the ignition leads, coil and plugs. Is there anything similar to a Turn2 induction available for the G60? Cheers for the help you've given so far...

one is brown-speakers and the other is black which should have a yellow wire (ignition), red (live 12v), black (ground) blue (remote turn on for amps). If your wires have been cut by previous owners, i suggest you make a trip to halfrauds and buy a loom which you can cut and re-attch to your corrado wiring behind the dash...so it means you dont end up chopping your stereo wiring to join to the corrado's chopped wiring. sanj.
