1. If these are being reordered can I order 2 sets please? Thanks
2. Wow cheers Hasan mate thats really nice of you. There's a lot of places to get inspiration from on here but yours is up there with the best of them. I think you've got it spot on mate with the combination of mods you've got... Few little things to do now - I need to get my all red rears toned down a bit, get my new alternator fitted, have the inlet manifold spruced up then I'm stopping haha. Hope all goes well with the rear beam mate - send us a message if you need any advice!
3. Thanks guys! Not all good news though. My alternator has packed in over Christmas. You can't have it all go your way with these cars can you!
4. Well it's been a while since my last update, but here goes... I've been busy since the respray (back in July) concentrating on getting the C ready for the upcoming shows. I had to take it back to the spray shop in August to have my cills smoothed as I wasn't happy with the rough surface. I am chuffed to bits now though as they managed to smooth them whilst still protecting them with the stone chip paint. Best of both worlds  I purchased a new 90mm splitter to go on too And last but not least, I've just had my wheels professionally refurbed I've gone for Smoked chrome centres with a polished lip.Sorry the pictures don't really show the colour up too well...I'll take some better ones when we get a bright enough day...I got them done at The Wheel Specialist in Manchester. They did my Speedlines last year and did a cracking job. The finish on these though is truly stunning. The guy made me promise I'd email him pics when they're on the car so he can use them in his adverts  Thats it for now... Thanks for looking As always, all comments are welcome
5. Thanks for the responses guys, especially Chris...that's one seriously thorough answer mate! I'm only out in it in the warm, dry weather so barely even need my lights on, and I'm running the lightweight Revotec fans so hopefully it should never overheat. Thanks for the info
6. Hi everyone! My alternator seems to have packed in on my VR over Christmas I've been offered a brand new Bosch one off a mate but it is the 90a one where mine was only the 70a one before... Is there any harm going to be caused if I use the 90a one instead? Can't see why there would be tbh but best to check before I hand over the money... Thanks, Kev
7. Got mine yesterday. Very impressed with the quality. Thanks for organising this Matt, much appreciated.
8. Thanks Tim. Received my items today. Very happy with them.
9. Will try and make Sunday but will be in the Mk4. Corrado is now without ABS...
10. Very nice mate! It looks great You must have a very understanding insurance company if the AMG version was only 2k at age 22. I feel very hard done to now having just insured my 2001 Golf 4 motion for £1700 at age 27  Must be my Manchester postcode lol
11. Hi Tim. I'd like the passenger side door seal please (£15) if it's the one that fits into the door opening on the shell of the car? I'll also take both wishbones (£45 pair) if they are defo genuine vw ones i.e. seam welded and not spot welded. Can you provide a picture? Cheers Kev
12. Cheers Lee yeah we should do mate. There's quite a few of us now. Saw that A3 Pete it looked great. Some great looking Lupo's too.
13. This was a decent show - not many Corrado's to be seen though. Here's some pics I took of what I thought were the most interesting cars Corrado's first... A heavily modified Passat... A heavily modified A3... some others that caught my attention too... It was a really good show, if you like modefied cars. There wasn't any completely standard cars there at all apart from my dad's Mk2 (parked next to me in the 3rd pic).
14. Hi mate, it's not bad really - just gotta take the rear engine cover off, disconnect the plug and a couple of pipes, then put it all back together in reverse. You could try giving it a clean with carb cleaner first though. Just make sure you take it off the car (don't do it in place with engine running like the instructions advise).
15. Bought a new 90mm splitter last week just in time for Tatton, then on the way home my car was running rough. It turned out to be the Idle Stabilisation Valve. Tried the cleaning method as mentioned on here but it didn't work so I had to buy a new one. VW wanted £340 (inc VAT and the plastic cap which had broken, worth £40 alone) but as it was a Bosch part I tried Euro Car Parts, and they did it for £120 + VAT. Decent saving there. All running super smooth again now ;)
16. Some more pics from Sunday CCGB Stand Club GTI Manchester Stand Other Rado's
17. Not sure why it is priced that high on the website. I've got the receipt here for £146.40... Receipt quotes the list price of £232.90, unit price of £122.00, and total Inc. VAT of £146.40 Maybe he's given it me at trade discount as I've been in quite alot lately...
18. I just gave him the Bosch part number, which is 0 280 140 512 and he was able to order me one from that.
19. Yeah it's VR specific so the dealer tells me
20. I know Andy tried it mate. Mine is well and truly broke lol
21. Went to the dealers this morning to order a new one of these as mine has suddenly started causing the car to run terribly rough. I was expecting it to be between £40 - £60 or there abouts but I was in for a nasty surprise... £290 Inc. VAT !?! I thought that was far from reasonable so I'd best see if Euro Car Parts sell the same part as it is made by Bosch (and had the Bosch part number stamped on). Good job I did as they can supply the same part for much less... £146.40 Inc. VAT Still extortionate in my opinion, but much more wallet friendly than the Stealers
22. Kev_VR6

who's kev

I can safely rule myself out of this one lol
23. No problem Kip I could see you were busy mate. I'll see you at Harewood instead Thanks
24. Top work mate just been through it all. Weels look great too I'll pm you part numbers for the battery covers after I've been back to the dealers tomorrow...
