  1. Fuck me this is frustrating!!! I have removed both adjusters from my old headlights, so theyre ready to go into the inpros ... I had no problems dismantling the old headlights, I assume you dismantle the inpros in the same way but it wont budge, is there an easier way to get to the lever? I can see the lever under the projector but I can't get to it. I can't drive my car until this problem is sorted so pleeeaaasee someone help soon!!! :notworthy:
  2. Right ... I got the lens off ... now what?! I'm too scared of breaking something!! There is a phillips screw on the back, is this the adjuster?
  3. you need to take em apart (lenses off and light holder out look behind the projector and there is a little alloy lever and a screw securing it you need to make sure its on R if not undo the screw and move it and then secure the screw again and put em back together) simples  Thats it? ... Why does that sound too easy?!! ... What does that do exactly? ... And can you explain to me what all this HID is about and upgraded loom? ... And here's me thinkin I can just buy some headlights and fit them directly on!
  4. I've bought myself a pair of inpro headlights too, just arrived today ... I love them, think they're a 100% improvement on the boring stocks. I haven't heard about this adjuster problem though, anyone care to explain ... Can't I fit them directly out of the box? ... What are the blue xenon bulbs like that are supplied with them? Cheers
  5. Thanks for the info lads, I think I'm going to be fitting a pair of M3 side repeaters and recess them into the bumper. Not decided what type yet, think these would look smart ... What do you reckon? Gonna have a look around for some ideas
  6. I'm hoping to remove my side repeaters when I get my front end sprayed ... I hear its an MOT fail not to have them, so I was thinking of cutting them into the bumper ... like (recently learnt) the American spec bumper ... Does anyone know of any side repeater lenses that can be used for this? I'm looking for something thin, preferably smoked. If anyones got any tips or build documentation for this, it would be very helpful. Cheers
  7. Had a look at your build mate, you got some nice mods in there. Any chance you could give me a better step by step on how exactly the Mk4 washer jets are fitted?
  8. oh yeah? ... well fuck me ... still, there must be someone out there that has done this mod to an european model
  9. As some of you might know, I crashed my VR6 a couple of weeks back ... So my tuning has been put on hold whilst I restore the beauty. I've bought myself a new bumper, bonnet and de badged grille ... I've also treated myself to the in-pro black angel eye headlights and the crystal clear front indicators / fog lamps. To save myself some money, time and hassle ... I'm going to get everything I want done at once. I'm planning to colour code the grille, remove the side repeaters and hopefully add some to the bumper as shown right ere ... If anyone knows of similar side repeaters to the ones shown or any that can be used to similar effect it would be much appreciated. I've also noticed the front of the bumper has been smoothed, not sure what I think of this, any thoughts? I'm also going to replace my door handles with the audi handles, again, if anyone knows of any kits (which I've heard there are) ... or parts and wherebouts, it would help alot. I was also going to remove the washer jets from the bonnet, but I'm unsure if it is possible to relocate these anywhere, I've had a look and it looks tight, any ideas? Any other suggestions are welcome, I'm interested in what everyone thinks ... I'm not going as far as the back though ... cheers for any input
  10. for anyone caught in this love triangle ... dbug is 'the breaker' ...
  11. Cheers for your reply, Ok well the car is technically scrapped so the Reg is non existant but the breaker is sure it is an L Reg. He tells me it has the later dash with twist heater dials etc ... SO i should be safe ... shouldn't I?! What models are not compatible?
  12. As some of you probably know, I crashed my Corrado VR6 1994 at the weekend ... I'm heading up to Coventry over the weekend to buy a bonnet and bumper from a breaker ... The car he is breaking is a 1.8 L Reg Corrado. Will the bumper and bonnet fit my VR6 or are there any differences between the two? Cheers :salute:
  13. Hahaha ... yeah, well I had it all planned out until I went up someones arse! (in the car ... just want to make that one clear) ... Now I've gotta concentrate on repair bills instead of tuning!!
  14. Think you got it right here mate, its the initial go and then the hesitation that fucks it ... Good point though greasegriff, if he was fully stationary anyway ... not sure what he was doing, but checkin his engine temp in his vauxhall astra in these freezing conditions is highly unlikely!!
  15. If it wasn't for my girlfriend shouting "LEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" ... I think it could've all been a little worse!! Thankfully, the damage isn't as bad as first thought ... The radiator is intact, the darkness and the road rage tainted my view Gonna assess the damage tomorrow, gonna take it to a local body shop but corozin, thanks for that contact number , I'll give him a ring too to get a quote, much appreciated. I'm from Christchurch, where abouts in Bournemouth you from? You part of Tidy VAG? I'm gonna treat myself to In-pro headlights and fogs, don't see any point in replacing the damaged ones with stock, millerman is gonna send me the company name from where he got his, if anyone knows of any second hand or the best site to get em from, I'd be most gratefull.
  16. hahaha Thanks for your support, I'll use you as a reference :D
  17. Yeah. You. :cuckoo: agree with psiburr on this one
  18. Some cun t didnt pull out ... i could have pulled out and reversed 10 fuc kin times in the amount of time he had!! ... I was lookin at the gap instead of infront of me, put my foot down to pull out ... and he hadnt moved .. classic case. Front bumper cracked and pushed back ... bonnet bent and chipped, grille, headlights and fogs obliterated, radiator pushed back ... Too dark to see any other damage, could very well be posting a fair bit in the parts wanted section soon!!!
  19. Alright mate, they are Schimmel 263 cams, if you email dave@dgautotech.co.uk and tell him you are interested in them, he should sort you out with all the info :D
  20. I can't afford the full price of a turbo or a supercharger yet, because theres the cost of fitting too in my case. I'm going ahead with the 263 cams and the exhaust manifold, I'd like to get a sports cat too ... these are things I can afford for the moment (with a remap) ... If I was to one day go for a turbo or supercharger, surely fitting the prior parts would help its performance anyway? No? :confused4:
  21. Hahaha  We share conflicting views ... Although we're both sponsored by Durex ...
  22. I just searched for the miltek sports cat ... http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust.pro ... iantid=122 ... It says that I'll need the miltek sport cat back system too ... am i looking at the right one? Is there a sports cat that will fit directly on to what I already have? Is there any that you can suggest?
  23. Ok I've sourced the 263 cams, looking at around £285. If anyone else is looking for these, let me know as the seller needs a couple more orders to make it worth his while. I'm going for the 6 branch manifold from DUBpower at £330. Can anyone give me some info on sports cats or decat in general. What is the best option? I hear it's illegal, is that right? Will I have to remove it for the MOT? Just hoping my mk3 will sell now so I can throw the cash straight back at my Corrado!!
  24. Thanks for your quick replies, this forum is the nuts. Well I'm definatly on a budget so maybe the Schrick/VW VSR is worth forgetting ... for now! ... But I'm definitley interested in the raceland manifold, 263 cams, decat and BMC air filter if it would take it to 220. If you can spare a few minutes, could you give me more information on each of the above, any site links would be amazing if you know where they can be purchased. Thanks again, the help is appreciated :notworthy:
  25. Honestly ... I'm not sure! :? I'm new to all this. I have been talking to a tuning garage, I told them I wanted to improve performance by having it dyno tuned, he advised I replaced the stock manifold, so I assume he was talking about the exhaust. Fancy giving me a short lesson?! haha :D
