  1. The EXACT same thing happened to me a week ago ... But ... I'm afraid I can't help, as mine still doesn't work and I have no idea how to fix it!
  2. Yeah definitely sounds like the best option, think I'll be going with that one. Could you post a link for the mitsi solenoid you used please mate, been googling with no luck. I'd rather use a tried and tested one, cheers
  3. Good thinkin mate, that sounds like the easier ... and safer option, unlikely anyone is gonna be searching around under my car for a manual bonnet release but there's always that risk. At least this way, it's there as a back up without compromising security! GO ON!! Take the plunge!!
  4. Cheers mate, I was actually discussing this method with a guy at work today, gonna be honest, I didn't completely understand. Would you have to connect two cables, one to the positive and one to the negative? Is there no danger of the cable shorting or getting wet or any other such damage? It was either that, or hide a manual release for the bonnet under the bumper or behind one of the indicators so I can just pop the bonnet if anything like that happened.
  5. What's that? ... A brick?! Surely there's a way of installing a manual release under the car or something in case that ever happened? Use the original key lock somehow? Can't be impossible ... Can it?!
  6. Thanks phatboy & Kempy No worries I didn't take it as if you were, I appreciate the input, yeah I'm using rear handles so there will be no locks ... I completely understand your point and it is risky, I plan on carrying a spare battery for the key fob in my wallet if that dies ... and if my car battery goes flat, which is unlikely as I'm using it every day ... well ... then I'll choose the worst window!! Definitely high risk ... but it adds to the thrill!!
  7. I'm getting Audi A3 handles cut in, not smoothing ... Ok thanks, I've been looking online and it does seem a lot simpler than I first thought, been speaking to my body shop and he seems more than confident so it shouldnt be an issue, do you have a remote switch in your dash too?
  8. Has anyone tinted the inpro fogs/indicators? I've obviously removed the orange bulb in mine, I'm using the inpro black angel eyes ... just wanted an opinion on tinting the fogs/indicators to match ...
  9. Ok cool, cheers for your info ... maybe thinking they're more complicated than they actually are then ... I'm still new to all this if you hadn't noticed  I hate turning off the engine to pop into the boot ... :censored: ... My alarm key fob has an aux button which I can connect to the boot release so yeah, that'll be very nice! Guessing you can wire a button into the dash somewhere too ...
  10. Yeah been lookin, just didnt know if they'd be compatible ... how it would be wired in, especially to the dash ... Just wanted to know if anyone had a thread I could follow
  11. Just have to be patient ... It pops up after 20 seconds or so ...
  12. The time is drawing near ... My Rado goes into Kustom Kolours on Monday ... and I keep changing the plans!! Was thinkin while I was at it, getting rid of the boot key lock if possible and installing a boot popper (I think I created that name so there's probably a technical name out there somewhere) ... Has anyone done this? Is it possible? If so, could anyone give me some info ... available kits, sites, anything. Cheers :salute:
  13. Too late dude, I'm packing them as we speak for another chap. Good job you are after reading Steve's post!!
  14. Great news, I've replied to you via email. Can anyone else open this link? Think it might be dead Steve
  15. You're selling a pair? ... What colour are they? ... How much do you want for em? ...
  16. also ... I have actually bought those same adjusters from that very site ... ready for when my right hand drive in pros to arrive!! ... do you have to take the lights apart to fit these adjusters?
  17. Cheers for your help, the problem is soon to be sorted ... I thought I was retarded not being able to take them apart, I got them unclipped but they wouldn't budge. So I contacted the place I got them, the guy said to me he was waiting on another batch so he could take them apart himself to see what the problem was ... turns out, he couldn't remove it either, he thinks they have been glued in ... So I'm just gonna buy them in right hand drive, save myself the effort!! They look like standard lights you have there though twofourten?
  18. Yeah I'll get some pics up, might start a thread showing the whole process. I'm gettin Audi handles too so will post that as well. Not too sure exactly how they'll be fitted, I assume a bracket will be mounted ... Leave all that to the pros!!
  19. Ah cheers mate thats good of you ... but i've already bought em :brickwall: Gettin a fair bit of work done to it on the 1st of March so just went for it, wanted them asap ... Cheers anyway :D
  20. and within the 5 minutes of posting ... I find them where I thought I looked hundreds of times!! ... EBAY ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-Corra ... ccessories What does everyone think of these?
  21. I'm searching everywhere for these bastards ... Can anyone help me out? Any links, US sites, know anyone with a pair? Anything will help, I've hit a dead end. Cheers
  22. Not being ungrateful ... but that doesn't help me much!! I can't get the light holder panel out, but hopefully I wont have to if the lever is in the right position already ... can you tell me if it is looking at the pics I posted? ... The adjuster I removed from my old lights doesn't even fit in the inpros properly!! I can't see anyway around this and I'm getting desperate, I have no lights for my car so soon i will not be able to drive it, so I don't know how I'll get to work and shit ... nightmare. If you could PM your number it would be much appreciated, you pay £200 for a pair of headlights, you expect to be able to fit them straight out of the box!!!
  23. No I haven't removed it yet, it wont budge ... I have managed to remove one white clip where the adjuster will fit ... (the existing white clip is now trapped in seeing as I can't get the other 2 out!!) ... Its as if the white clips are glued in, there is just no play at all. I'm guessing this is the lever ... Do you know if this is in the correct position? ... Either way I need to take it out so I can remove the white clip where the adjuster goes ...
