If you haven't already downloaded it, I can't rate Swift Key higher... It's an incredible keyboard and I'm sure you'll prefer it to the standard. Have a play with different settings to achieve your particular style. PowerAmp is the best music player, but I agree with you the sound output is a lot quieter than what the iPhones/Pods kick out. MX Player for video playback. Opera or Chrome for web browsing. If you use Chrome on your computer and log in through Google, it'll have all your bookmarks saved which is pretty handy. All contacts should be added and sync'd through Google too :D Oh and try out Lapse it and Photaf on the camera sides of things...

I see the Nexus as a budget S3, they're similar in a lot of ways... The S3 is the more powerful phone with a better camera, longer battery life and an expected longer life cycle. The Nexus receives software updates before the S3. Really depends on your budget, if you can afford it get the S3... if you can't get the Nexus. My mate from work, who is possibly the biggest android geek I've ever met has the Nexus, he upgraded before the S3 was out because he couldn't wait... and now he regrets it!

I've had the S1, the S2 and the S3... the jump from the S1 to the S2 is the biggest in my opinion. I didn't NEED the S3, but wanted it... it is a vast improvement. I can't understand peoples problem with the size, it fits in my hand... it fits in my pocket... no problem there! Well the iPhone 5 is a huge disappointment for anyone interested in it, they played it safe and failed. Hasn't even got NFC!! What were they thinking?!! Anyway, saw this this morning and had a giggle :D

I love these threads :D Everyone's uses are different obviously. I watch a lot of video on my S3. I download HD MKV files... Plug my S3 into its dock, open the desired folder and drag and drop. Done. I have glorious HD on a fantastic LED screen. You just can't get anywhere near that with an iPhone. Put aside all the media format headaches and iTunes, and you still have to look at a terribly dull small screen. Internet browsing is unparalleled in my opinion, with so many choices of browser you're laughing. I personally prefer Opera Mobile, the 1.4 GHz quad core processor makes light work of any webpage and any video streaming you ask of it. Texting with the S3 comes up on top for me too. Again with a variety of keyboards to choose from you can't go wrong. Swiftkey being my preferred option, definitely the most intuitive keyboard I've ever used on a phone. The external storage can't be overlooked either, they've made great improvements since the S2... Don't have to remove the battery to remove the card, just eject it and whip off the back casing and you're there. Everyone has their own opinion, but for me... I can't see why anyone would choose an iPhone over the S3. Or even an S2 for that matter. Its the daddy!! And Apple know it... hence the court case.....
