To quote you... Amazing how different everyone is!... I honestly thought this was a terrible, typical american cheese fest with flaws throughout, awful CGI and unconvincing acting. I quite passionately hate this film! While I'm ere... A Lonely Place To Die... 6.5-7/10 for me. I'm much more into my series these days, Boardwalk Empire is incredible, Breaking Bad is phenomenal... Then there's The Walking Dead and Dexter...

what sorta price you talking about to have the screen replaced? -
Another yes from me... had been running pressed euro plates for a coupla years until I got fined a month or so ago.. Bought legal pressed plates from http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/webshop/uk-legal-pressed-metal-plates/ and I'm very impressed with em. Make a massive difference, and in my opinion look so much better than standard plates.

Ah mate i'm devastated for you.... i can't offer you any help but i wish you the best of luck. ****ers.
-
I have them, had them with inpro headlights and now with standards... love em, think they're much better than the originals

Cheers for all your input... Had a phone call from the ticket office from a (please excuse my stars) right snooty ****! "Hello Mr Simpson, I hear you spoke to a colleague of mine today and you are refusing to pay your fine, he also tells me you refused to give him your contact details" ... So as you can imagine, this snooty bitch got a right ear full. I explained the situation again, told her that I was phoning to pay my fine and her colleague had told me there was nothing on the system and I'd asked for other avenues to proceed with payment, and that the little twerp hadn't asked me for my details etc... seemed to me that he wanted to cover his mistakes so fabricated a story. To which she replies that I had confused the situation... so she received another ear full. She then went on to tell me that my ticket had just this minute come through the system, I asked her why it had taken 3 weeks and asked whether she thought it was a bit of a coincidence that my ticket had just been processed after my phone call earlier in the day! She assured me that sometimes it takes a long time for them to process a ticket and it was in fact a mere coincidence that my ticket had been processed. I thanked her very much. I didn't mean it. But shhhhh, she might hear us. Anyway, now I can pay the fine and everything is right in my world again... Cheers again for all your views on the matter! -
I got stopped a couple of weeks back for incorrect number plates. He gave me a £60 fine and made me take my MOT certificate to my local cop shop coz their system had failed to show my MOT. So I took my MOT there the next day but I couldn't afford to pay the fine straight away. Gone to look for the ticket today, can't find it. So I phone the ticket office, explained the situation... and the bloke tells me there is nothing on the system linked to my Registration plate. So I ask what I can do, as I have lost the ticket. He tells me I'll have to pay £120 when the time limit expires if the fine is put onto the system. To which I replied (and I'm not 100% on this), well I am not obliged to take any paperwork from the officer so if I hadn't accepted the paperwork, he would have had to put the fine through the system and contacted me in an alternative fashion anyway. I asked the bloke for his assigned number and I've recorded the time and date of the phone call. I have phone citizens advice and they're not sure. Can anyone help? Have I somehow got away with it or am I about to be double ****ed?

That boys got some talent to be keeping up with Vai's teachings! Cheers for your feedback, thinkin about it... I haven't changed the battery since I've had the car which'll be 3 years in July. I don't have keyed entry so shouldn't run the risk of it completely dying, forcing me to pick which window is the easiest to replace! Think I'll go for the Bosch S5 Battery, with a 5 year guarantee... 15% off (cheers delfinis38)... £70 delivered. Sorted :D

Happy new year and all that peoples... Trust you all had a gooden, I woke up with one less eyebrow than I fell asleep with and the mother of all hangovers! So... I go to pick up my girlfriend from work, got there about 12:30... parked up, engine off, listened to a CD for half hour and battled the hangover with a lucozade sport... also noticed the rear window heater was on too. Turned everything off at 13:00, key out. ****sed in a bottle, not relevant I know but didn't miss a drop. She strolls out at 13:30, went to start the car....... battery's dead. Had to call out the father with some jump leads. Now, surely a battery should last longer than that no?? Thinkin my battery might be on its way out. Whatcha think? Any battery's well recommended? Cheers

Received mine today thanks mate!! Legend :D -
Just a little update... got my legal pressed plates from Dubmeister. Happy with them, think they look goooood!! Although, the sticky strips I bought are a bit thick!! Shoulda taken the pictures in the day so the flash didn't reflect so much but... meh, here they are :D

I wore these for over a year and I've only recently put the originals back in. I still love the way they look on my car, I'm leaning back to the originals in terms of looks again though funnily enough, although I'd like to mess around with tints or something. The inpro's give the front end a much more modern look... but I suffered a couple of issue's with them. Firstly, the adjusters never fitted correctly, I even sent them back to where I bought them for them to fit them... and they couldn't do them right either. So the beams were always off. And when selecting main beam, it would select to main beam only and it was like I was driving through a tunnel of light! I'm selling them though if I've put together a decent sales pitch?... Again, not aqua blue but ere's a pic...

Mine are 16's, good tread on the tyres. Fair bit of curbing though :/ £180?!... That aint bad... but they're in pretty poor condition. Is it expensive to get wheels refurbished? I want them black, will spraying them look awful??
-
I'm looking at changing my wheels, I have fallen in love with the OZ Superturismo's so I want to sell mine. Problem is, I have no idea what they are... (some sort of Porsche replicas)... or how much they're worth. What do you think? I've got a mate who's interested in taking them from me...

Thats fair enough, makes sense. I'm interested in your focus on chassis dynamics and handling... I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread. So please make it understandable for morons!! Here's where it all began for me!! -

I've heard a lot of this 'keep it standard' talk lately, seems to be a hot topic.... I'm interested to know peoples outlook on it, is it because you prefer the look of the Corrado standard? Or is it all about the price the car could fetch by keeping it standard? Personally, I love the look of the Corrado as it was made... it's a thing of beauty! But... I love customising parts to make it my own. (People could argue this as a lot of the mods have been repeated countless times!) There are certain mods that for me, improve the style of the car and give it a personal touch. I've never been interested in looking at the money it could get me years down the line if I keep it standard... I might drive it into a tree tomorrow! I want to enjoy it for what it is, customise it to look how I want it to and drive it everyday! And considering you're the guy who inspired me into buying a Corrado with the mods you applied to your old C... I'm surprised you're taking this approach now! -
Thats interesting... saw this too... http://www.theplatemarket.com/display_of_registration_numbers.php "All number plates made after 31st August 2001 must display the mandatory font. Number plates made prior to this date must be substantially the same." To my eye, they're substantially the same.

So I rode my luck for 2 years, finally got busted this morning with Euro plates. Avoided the threatened £200 fine and 6 points, for voiding my insurance... **** knows if that's true but it scared me enough to grovel, I think he got off on it personally. The £60 fine he wrote me finished him off I reckons, the orgasmic expression on his smug face gave it away. I know they're illegal... (not too sure why, I'm not buying it that their camera detection software is unable to pick it up, my PHONE can take a picture and detect any language and translate it)... they're not big and they're not clever... but they look soooo much better than those horrific looking standard UK plates. Been looking into these, these seem legit. http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/webshop/uk-legal-pressed-metal-plates/uk-legal-plates/ Anyone got any?
-
Cheers mate, but I went ahead and bought the VW bushes... the previous ones lasted a good 16 years, £5.60 a year doesn't seem too bad ... I will however pop over one day, I'll PM you my contact details...
-
90 quid for 2 bushes!! Shiiiit the bed!

Sorted then! Cheers for that :D
