Hi Peeps, Went out in the car yesterday and when I was trying to de-mist the car I tried to lower my window and...........nothing :mad2: All I am getting is a "click " from somewhere in the rear of the car :confused4: and as I am a newbie to the whole Corrado thing, I was hoping one of you guys would be able to point me in the right direction as I have no idea :( Thanks in advance, Andy
-
Yep, tried that one Mate. I had wondered on the two positions so thanks for the heads up on that :) Going into the garage with it again soon so I'll have the panel off the inside of the boot lid and see what I can find........hopefully a cure for this :mad2:

Fitted the full stainless Milltek, New discs & pads on the front 8)

Nice one, thanks for that. Hoping that'll be it.........so nice when it's something simple  EDIT: you do mean the cover inside the boot lid ?? sorry to be a numpty but me brain isn't working correct today :cuckoo:

Need you help guys, The central locking has stopped working on my boot. I have a Toad alarm with remote central locking included but it won't open the boot from this. The boot opens fine with the key but not yet tried it via manual central locking. Anyone suffered the same kind of problem  Many thanks in advance, Andy

This is my cheap and chearful install. Parts required - Sub and amp (lying around in the shed) Wardrobe door (again lying around in the shed) Acoustic carpet (ebay £9) Glue, screws, jigsaw and drill/screwdriver Metal strap to make securing bracket onto where the warning triangle used to live. Not the best of installs and I still need to reposition the interior light :( but it was well within my budget

Hi folks, I have a guy coming out today to quote me on a wheel refurb. The guy operates under the name "Spray tech alloys" in Buxton and was just wondering if anyone has used him or if they could recommend any other localish companies around Buxton, Derbyshire Thanks, Andy

One time cut out and "running on" when I turn it off??

Hopefully going to get the timing checked this weekend so fingers crossed  -

Cheers for the replies, I will check out the relay, maybe replace for the cost of them. The idle was high due to a broken return spring, replaced the entire throttle body and cured the high tickover but still the same. Oil temp never runs over say 102 in traffic but the fan does cut in, maybe if I flushed the rad etc. and put some fresh antifreeze in it may run a bit cooler. -
Hi Guys & Gals, Please be gentle as I've not had it long :( Firstly, when I turn the car off, it seems to "run on" for a bit. Not a lot, just takes it's time to stop turning over. Timing perhaps?? Secondly, on a (not so :mad2: ) jolly to Meadowhell today, I got to a roundabout in the traffic and it just spluttered and stopped :( . After 2 mins of searching under the bonnet, I gave it one last try before calling for the yellow army and it fired into life and has been completely fine since. First thought is coilpack as all the dubs I've had seem to have needed one shortly after I bought it. What do you guys think?? P.S. its a 2.0 16v Cheers, Andy

Put a set of 16" brocks on it and replaced the wiper mechanism. Now I can see when it rains 8) Also built a sub enclosure for the boot but that was the other day
-
I've had mine for just over a month :( Not going to get rid any time soon though
-
Dropped it 40mm on springs & shocks, clayed it, 3 stage meguiars paint treatment, tech wax also on top, put me newly purchased bra on and fitted me "I love speedbumps" sticker Think I might go to bed now cos me arms hurt
-
asw75r Just bought a bonnet bra off this guy, just as described and really helpful....cheers Mate
-
yeh thats good stuff It certainly is :) It even gets all the crud out that you cannot get to with the toothbrush or rag..........marvellous :D
-
I used carb cleaner.......some STP (?) stuff.
-
lets hope so :notworthy: Even if it doesn't sort the problem completely, I think it's a worth while task anyway that will give you a difference in the way the car performs :)
-
Sure does, really smoother drive in it now :D Did the same thing to me old Golf and that had the same kind of effect. Yeah, must check the fluid levels again actually, recently drained the system as it was full of really old fluid which looked as though it had been boiled and also found quite a bit of water in it as well  not re-checked it since bleeding and running for a while although the light was flickering before I drained the system :( I did give the switch on the handbrake a bit of a service with some electrical cleaner and it did stop it for a while but just started up again. Really, I think I need a new master cylinder as Horney suggested as well but I'll have to wait for some more pennies
-
Yep, worked a treat :notworthy: Really easy to do and what a difference !!! For the sake of 1hour of your time it's well worth it. Just need to sort the flickering handbrake light and that will be the most annoying niggles out of the way
-
Mine did exactly the same until today. Was not going below 2500rpm at times and really annoying when changing gear. Took the throttle body off and gave it a good clean and now runs great.
-
Ha!! Fortunately, I wasn't the one that dropped it . Only noticed it when I opened the car with the alarm fob and it didn't flash. Booked into the garage while I'm away to have the brakes sorted, throttle body repaired and the interior valeted...........handy having a brother who runs his own garage
-
Cheers Aide, Seen a few on ebay but they are fetching a right price   I'll keep me ear to the ground for now. Going to take the spring off and give it a measure to see if I can get anything else to fit. I've been told about this mod by a couple of people now and seems popular. Going to run it as is for now and get the niggly bits sorted so I can start to enjoy it properly :D Just come in from having all the plastic wheel arch trim off looking for the side repeater wires & bulb that had fell inside :(
-
Cheers, really pleased with it. As soon as I got it home it was subjected to a wash, clay and a 3 stage paint treatment 8) Needs a couple of things doing as a priority. Needs a full service on the brakes and the idle is all over the place but I have found the problem. The return spring has snapped on the throttle body and has had a "fix" which although it works, doesn't work properly :( Is the return spring on the throttle body easily available or am I going to have a 'mare trying to find one??

Finally got one    2.0l 16v Classic Green pearl. Well chuffed. Only downside is I go on holiday this Saturday for 2 weeks so I won't be able to drive or tinker with it :( .
