  1. Found a higher res pic on our Forum and you can also see the Mk1 next to mine is also a lot higher. Both the Lupo & Golf are on coilovers and very low.
  2. Not the best of pictures but you can see the size difference (just tucked in at the side of the red Lupo there)
  3. There's a little picture of mine in this month's Golf+ parked next to a Lupo and the Lupo looks Huge compared!! :D
  4. Swapped another radiator hose for a Samco 8). And yet again I'm covered in cuts & bruises :( (this is why I only do them one at a time)
  5. Picked it up from a popular auction site Mate ;) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Beetles-Golf-Passat-Polo-Roof-Aerial-Antenna-Base-/400197418843?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d2d9fff5b
  6. Replaced the aerial base with a new amplified one. I now have a working radio 8)
  7. Metering head might be bunged up with gunge since it's been stood maybe??
  8. Farantino on here sold me a brand new one. Been on a year and is perfect 8) . What noise is the pump making? is it a whining noise or does it sound like it's starved of fuel?
  9. Your car was looking mighty fine today Kip, as was butterfly's 8). Well deserved of trophies!
  10. Was a good show today, lots of lovely Corrado's on display 8) . Put mine to shame so I'm glad it was tucked away in the corner :)
  11. I had a problem where the car would cut out and after about 10 mins would be fine again. turned out to be the lift pump in the tank that had the live feed to it severed :( I also put a new accumulator on as it wasn't holding pressure. Might be worth a look.
  12. THat's why I used a spare mate. So I have both types for when the mood suits ;)
  13. I had exatly the same problem Mate. When the car was warm and sat in traffic, the car would struggle for a short period of time and then cut out. 5 mins later it would fire up and be OK for a while. Got to the point where I couldn't trust it to get me to work :(. I checked the lift pump in the fuel tank and found that although the lift pump was in good working order, there was no power to it as some 1 amp had butchered the wiring!!! got that working again and all is well (so far)
  14. Definitely interested in this Holly, can you PM some idea of discounts if me and the good lady were to venture up in the not too distant future ;-) Andy
  15. I did use a second bumper, just to be sure first :D But it went together really well. I'll post some pics up when I get it back
  16. I deleted the recess myself and flatted it off Mate but I took it to the bodyshop to finish the prep and paint it. I just used a dremmel and cut out the recess by cutting into the side of the flat edge, pulled the flat part out and then used the soldering iron to melt the two parts back together again as I couldn't get a plastic welding company to touch it as they said it would take hours. Took me 30 minutes to do it :D . Thanks for the heads up on the brackets, I'll make sure there are some bits nearby when I put it on ;)
  17. I do want the plate in the middle, just how to attach it high enough so I don't rip it off every time I go near a speedbump :(
  18. Evening folks, I get my smoothed front bumper back from the paint shop soon. This means I have to relocate my front numberplate. What have other folks done with theirs?? I've heard that people use the Mk1 golf numberplate holder but I don't know how it's attached. Pics for Ideas would nice :D
  19. I checked mine today and had a shock!!!! I know I'd sorted the fuelling issues out but didn't realise how well!! :D
  20. Replaced the fuel accumulator and fuel lines. then gave it a little wash :)
  21. Cheers fellas ;) Well, whilst waiting for a very important part to arrive from Germany that will hopefully cure the fuelling issues I've been having I decided to put this part on today that I bought of Samthegram. Before..... After... Whilst everything was out I had a look at the less than impressive wiringin there. I spent quite a while repairing/soldering bad connections and bare wires in there!! I pick the fuel accumulator up in the morning and hopefully get this car back on the road :)
  22. If I rfemember correctly it was from TPS. Was over a year ago now so not entirely sure :S
  23. I bought an external pump from farantino off here for around £80. I bought a lift pump from TPS for abot £28. This still hasn't cured my particular problem so I now have a new accumulator on it's way. After that, and it doesn't work still, I'll be breaking the car as I'll have replaced everything :(
  24. I bought a new one recently. Was only £28 ;)
  25. I bought one from a Mk2 seat ibiza. Fits pretty damn well and about half the price of the Passat Item. I bought a manual roof and just unscrewed the winder and the motor fitted perfect ;)
