  1. Cheers for the comments, The Cream parts are very "marmite" it seems. However, when people see the car in the flesh they do say it looks completely different from the pictures (probably because my camera skills are little to none :( ) Maybe next year I'll go for a silver finish with the parts I have  .Then again, I might go with a different colour altogether  Andy
  2. Really nice Mate 8) Did you have much trouble getting the rub strips off?? Andy
  3. Got a good deal on some FK coilovers so last night and today were spent putting these on 8) Front is down around 75mm and the rears around 60mm Also, a big thanks to farantino :notworthy: who sorted me out with a new external fuel pump, it feels like a different motor now.......pulls better in every gear and handles a treat  A few more pics for the haters  (I had only put the front coilies on at this point ).........
  4. Cheers to farrantino for the fuel pump. Top man :salute:

    Auto wipers

That's my plan mate if I don't locate the fault  Mine has been flashing for a while now and I just thought it was a faulty switch so I think this fault in the loom is the root cause. I think it's the place where the wiper motor wires join into the loom next to the bulk head.

    Auto wipers

Well, I had a butchers at the wiring. Fuse box out, nothing wrong there, cleaned wiper stalk contacts and checked the block connector to see if that was dodgy. Put it back together and "hey presto!" they didn't move when I started the car..........then I let the handbrake off and the bl00dy things started going hell for leather again :mad2: Turns out the handbrake switch is connected to the wiper motor loom so something in there isn't quite right but I'll have a look at that when it's cooled down outside a little, I've taken the handbrake switch off it's mounting so the wipers are behaving now but I have the brake warning light claring at me now

    Auto wipers

No worries Mate, Hope I can find it out, at least save me the mither of buying loads of things for it and getting nowhere :cuckoo: I'll report back when I've been out to it and let you know (just another quick brew first  ) Cheers, Andy.

    Auto wipers

Yep, exactly like mine................as soon as I can get them to stop, I go over a bump and they start again :brickwall: :brickwall: Was the wire visible when you took the cover off or do I have to poke around a bit ??

    Auto wipers

Right folks, Before I waste loads of money on the wrong parts like I've done in the past :cuckoo: , I thought I'd ask you guys to see if you could help. My wipers have a mind of their own, they will start working randomly even though the stalk has not been touched, including the back one :( Sometimes they come on like the intermittent speed, sometimes like the fastest speed and sometimes their own little merry dance  Do I need to replace the wiper stalk or is there a relay I can replace?? Many thanks in advance, Andy
  11. Cheers Ben :) At least a couple of you like it :( Well, not much to add really, replaced both wishbones and anti-roll bar bushes, a good clean up in the engine bay and left it parked in a field at All-types  Some really nice Corrados there 8) A couple more pictures from the prep ready for the show. On the search for some decent coilovers now 8)
  12. Couldn't really explain to you about the cream..........I just fancied doing it. The wheels were purchased cheap as they were really badly kerbed so needed a refurb anyway. I like the style of wheel and also the little bit of a dish. For some reason every picture I take of the car show the Cream a lot lighter than it really is  The main thing is that it's something that I wanted to do and I really like it, I guess that's the one that counts  Cheers gregulate, badge was just as you described and means that everything that I've done can be reversed within the day. I will be dropping it a little more as the front seems to be higher than the back :confused4:
  13. Now fitted is a new drivers window motor (thanks Shaung60 8) ) Painted the calipers. Polished inlet (thanks samthegram) Wind deflectors. And some more polishing  Next on the list is having the rear arches rolled (got a lot of rubbing going on :( ) Andy

  15. Thanks to Samthegram for the polished inlet and rocker cover................however, this has now resulted in me looking for more bling :(

  17. I'm in Buxton, a bit further from you than some of the other guys though.
  18. That looks 8) 8) as Mate. Remind me never to open my bonnet when you are near :(
  19. Doubtful Mate, I've seen the guy advertising the rear badge for £49.99
  20. Finished the wheels off 8) Now realise the front needs to be lower :( Then gave it a damn good clean ready fo rgoing to Dubfreeze tomorrow :) And I've looked at the weather and it's given snow :mad2:
  21. Been doing a few things to mine lately but forgot to post in this section :( Uprated headlight loom Areo wipers all round New passenger door handle New parcel shelf supports Coloured the 16v badges New drivers seat Alpine head unit with i-pod lead Wheel refurb. Hope you like :)
  22. The module behind the drivers side rear card is clicking and I have also changed this for a different one from raddo-tom. The switch has some tape around the back of it but I think that is just to make it a better fit in the door card  Andy
  23. Cheers, I'll have a look at this later this week and see if I get a reading. Andy
  24. Hi again guys, I am still at a loss with this :mad2: I have replaced the window module and ................nothing :( When I press the switch, the moduls clicks but the window doesnt work. I have had the door card off and all the wires are in place. Before it stopped working altogether, it would work after I'd pressed the switch a few times in both directions but now nothing. Would it be the motor that's packed up?? If so, is it a big job ?? Sorry but electrics aren't my strong point :help:
  25. Hi Guys, I urgently need a wiring diagram for the ECU on the Corrado. I am fitting a new lambda sensoe and someone has butchered the wiring so I need to know what goes where :( Can anyone help?? Cheers, Andy PS. it's the 4 wire lambda sensor type if that's any help
