Me and Matt should have done the same with the valver we had . We sold just about every last scrap of it . Parts are in high demand now .
-
Nice one Sean . So this one is for general running around in , once it's got an mot .
-
Bleedin scumbags , I saw this on Vag buy sell or swop .
-
It's towards the front more than the back Matt . About 3/4 of the way along .

Thanks for the info Hasan , I will do this first , good idea . I was going to pull up the carpet and sprinkle talc on the floor , but your idea will be quicker .
-
Just looked at the link ray and Sean . I use that stuff at work all the time lol . I've got loads of it .
-
I used duct tape too , I will have to check it again . I'm sure it's coming through there . If it was foliage it would be around where the passenger feet would be and in the glove box and shelf . If it was the tube the panel would be wet and the seat too . Thanks for the replies gents .

I thought I'd solved this , but after the heavy rain we've had it's wet by the door again . Am I right in thinking if it was the foliage or the sunroof tube the glove box would be wet and the sunroof panel if it was the tube ? . I will have to check the membrane again . It's right on the lip of the carpet where the door shuts and going into the middle . I will get it sorted on Sunday . Kind regards Rob

Group Buy Feeler: Reproduction VR6 Silver Grille Badges (Update P3)
robrado974 replied to Jim's topic in Group Buy Feelers
Best of luck to you on this Jim , as Sean says , i was not trying to sink the idea , just listing the problems i came across . The 3D proccess sounds promising regarding the metal type finishing . -
It really is coming along nicely now . I dumped my carpet in the washing machine , they came out brilliant . I always get envious of people getting so much done in the winter , mine has ground to a halt now . No garage and it just won't stop raining ! . That and with Xmas , funds are getting tight .

That was one of the other problems I came across Sean . The badge was simple to do , but the extra cost for the clips !!! . It's down to the moulding . -
Group Buy Feeler: Reproduction VR6 Silver Grille Badges (Update P3)

Well done on your latest product for the forum Jim . I looked into this too . No problem with the making of the badge , it's finding a company that does brushed chrome . The ones I found before don't seem to be on the net anymore ? -

I dont know Jonvr6, But he does help people out on here with good answers , including me in the past . Nice one for posting the above Jon . The things to consider are, there are not that many auto's left , if you want to keep it oem then there is that to take into account . Im all for oem so i would keep it as it left the factory , thats not to say its not right to convert to manual though . I helped convert a friends VR from auto to manual , yes there was some fafing around but it went fine , so for a qualified mechanic it should not be to hard or take to long to do . As you say the car has low mileage and in good condition , so as far as selling and starting again ,i personally would not sell it , you have done work to it already and are getting things sorted and getting know the car , it would be a shame to sell it and start again . -
I was thinking this too , it would drive me nuts , not knowing . What ever she turns out to be , it will still be a top car .
-
Another ! What's the plans for it mate ?
-
Welcome along , nice to hear your going down the oem route . You can do plenty of mods that are reversible , de badged grill , stuff like that . If you change your mind it's easy to go back to oem . I had the rear end smoothed on mine , de badged . It cost me a small fortune to have it put back to standard !.
-
Big smile on your face tomorrow then !. Paint looks lovely mate .

I was on the Mac looking at new posts on here , the mrs watches Corrie . It came on , i didnt even register that it is for sainsburys. which shows to me how powerfull it is .Most of us on here will know that this really happened , just to go back to the trenches the day after boxing day and go back to war . Unbelievable really .
-
Maybe Sean . I will have a look under the car on sunday , work is so busy atm and with it being dark by the time you get home , it will be the only time to have a look .
-
I saw this ad this evening .The one in which the English and German soldiers climb out of their trenches , swop gifts and play football. Very moving to say the least .
-
Great info ,thankyou so much , both of you . I will check for the parts . I wonder if i can rob the parts off my beam , when it comes to it . Thinking about it though if what ever the part attatches to has been ground off , i will have problems refitting wont i ? Thanks again .
-
Thanks Sean , I will get a pair of these , there is one on the beam ATM . I seem to have some stubs of metal though? , like there was a fixing for something and it's been ground off ?
-
Evening all . I have just recieved my new sprinter mag , looking forward to reading it . On having a quick glance through it , i saw the refurbished beam . Mine is going in for the same treatment soon , i noticed on one of the pics the cables attatched to it . The beam i have that is going in for powdercoating only has stubs left on it , where the old stuff was attached , if i dont have any fixings ,is this going to be a problem ?. I dont want to pay to have it done and have a problem when refitting . I have not really looked at the beam on my car to see hoe cables are fixed and a friend has the manual atm . Any info would be great , thankyou . Kind Regards Rob
