  1. As James said you have done a lot of work , shame you cant stick it in the garage . I think 3k is about right maybe a bit more ?. Im not saying you are doing this but a fair few people put up a lower price so they can sell the car quicker , this is not helping and still makes the Corrado look like its lagging behind in the up n coming classic market .
  2. only a small update really . I finaly caved in today and taxed the car . It will only get used on good days . I just thought it would be better to drive it and air it , rather than it being sat on the drive , its there to be driven after all . I pulled up to get some fuel . got back in the car and it would not start . I couldnt believe it . I had no tools , so i rang the AA. In the meantime it fired up , the AA bloke took a look anyway , turns out the dizzy cap has been getting moisture in it and its been arcing . You could clearly see the marks from the centre to the outer pins .Anyway he cleaned it up and i will get a new cap and rotor arm this week . The underside rebuild is coming along well , ive nearly got all the parts i need . A friend is blasting and powdercoating the beam soon . I decided to do the hubs and sub axles myself as it gives me something to do in the evenings . I bought some grinding stones in various shapes and sizes and ground the rust and crap of them , then painted them with five coats of hammerite . Im very much hoping to get my tax rebate soon , so i will be able to get the underside finished . . Thanks for looking .
  3. Thanks for the feed back . I will remove the cover today . It is a breathable one , but from what's been said it won't do the car much good . It's got ties underneath it so the wind does blow up it so it's getting air in there.
  4. New link . stores.ebay.co.uk/dag-hose-supplies I had to copy this as my mac wont put up a direct link for some reason .
  5. Will try again when I get home , I don't know what my mac is doing , when I tried to Copy it , it kept putting a pic up from my photobucket ? .
  6. I worked for this guy a few weeks back . I saw some of these he had made and they looked great . so i thought i would share on here . ebay.stores.co.uk/dag-hose-supplies.
  7. Matrix , that's a bummer mate . It's not so bad once you get into the job . What I don't like is fitting all the bits back . Sometimes no matter how hard you try , things just don't sit right .
  8. Looking great Sean . I have a few imperfections in mine too , very small tiny ones . It's not a factory machine spray , no filler was needed from new , so there will be a few niggly bits . My costing was 2.5 k as well . What you have turned this car into is amazing really , when you look at the first pics . Also it's very hard when you have a freshly painted car , you notice every speck of dirt and fuss over it lol . I have a couple of small stone chips and a scratch on the drivers door . Tbh , now I think , oh well it's there to be driven not sat on a show stand . Well done for everything you have done so far mate . Edit . It's my birthday on the 23rd , on my list was a splitter , you better have not nicked the last one lol
  9. Yes he Does Sean . I presume it's ok to put it up with the mods ? Not sure how these things work . I will get in touch with him and get the details .
  10. At that rate of miles, it would take me nearly two years Sean lol .
  11. Evening . Obviously it will have to be cleared by the Mods first . I did a plastering job for someone a few days ago , we got talking about cars and it turns out he makes and sells brake hoses . He showed me a some examples , now I'm not an expert but they looked very good quality . They come in different colours ( this is mainly for bikers as they are on show ) . He can make any size fittings , R.E standard brakes or up rated , mk4 calipers on the rears or porka up front etc . Just a thought for anyone who is interested . Kind regards Rob
  12. I will take another one too mate and I don't won't pnp lol

  14. Welcome along . Hope it all goes smoothly for you .
  15. Nice to hear things are working out fine with the car for you . Its amazing that you and a few others are on your 7th or 8th Corrado !.They are addictive though . Im still on my first, 7 years and still going strong .

  17. Great stuff going on here . This will hopefully be next years winter project . First I have to dismantle my tin pot shed and build a man shed though .
  18. I will have a look today , after work . There's no reason why I can't buy a set of tools and use them in my drills instead . Rob
  19. Nice one people , thank you for all the info . Kind regards Rob
  20. Thanks for the info Hasan . Mabey for the small amount of work I have to do I will get a cheaper one or Middle of the road price .

  22. Very common thing to happen up n down the country unfortunately . Sorry to hear of the damage these braindeads caused . Oh to catch em doing it ! . Busted fingers all round !
  23. I'm going to be removing rust of of a few parts , so I thought I would get one of these . It's mainly for grinding the rust off of stub axles and small parts . Who has bought what and any dremels you would recommend . The electric ones for example , seem a better buy . I don't want to be using a battery one for half an hour and the battery goes flat . Many thanks Rob
