  1. Me and rob and maybe matt are going for a run out in the rado's on the 31st of this month . Planning on southwest and further up. Our cars do nothing but cruise round town and the odd trip out , they need a good run to get rid of the cobwebs . Would be nice to meet a few members from here if your available , bacon n dog roll breakfast and a good look n chat over our cars , any interest ?
  2. Will take a pic , was thumbing through the manual and thought i had the right bit . ---------- Post added at 4:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:09 PM ---------- Heres the pic of the bit i need , thanks .
  3. Think these are still available from steelers ,someone will correct me if im wrong . they have to be removed very carefully as people think its just a rubber strip but it has a metal runner going through it , so once bent they have had it .
  4. Having looked at the manual i think im right in saying this is part of washer system . There are two of them ,one on each mount , mine have been broken and some sort of red glue blobbed on them to cover the break , anyone have a set please . Thanks Rob

  7. Ah i must have read it wrong thought it was for reviving interior plastics . Ive repainted leather before using furniture clinic products . Was looking for a product to clean beige leather , ive tried a few products but still looks a dirty .
  8. C5 oem , you are right about the mopping , i know they only did this , when i picked it up .Thanks again guys , i will be looking into products you have mentioned . Will be ordering some Gtechniq c4 for interior plastics and surfex for my leather as well . Need to get meself a polisher too . Dont get me wrong ,when you look at the car when its been waxed it looks fantastic , its only us anul people that spot things and want everything perfect .
  9. Thanks for all the advice guys , very much appreciated .Its annoying you have to do all this after painting though , you dont see mr Jones over the road with a polisher after he has bought a new car do you . Rob
  10. Thats a real bummer , some people are just scum , thats really low .
  11. I use autoglym shampoo , followed by autoglym polish and then the autoglym high definition wax . Like i say perhaps its me being fussy . How long will the SRP last sean ? i do have some swirls and holograms , that i would like to see gone , bit scarred of using products on it tbh , the other thing that gets me is the water marks left by the window rubbers after its rained . Thanks for your advice as well Jamie , might be time to try something new .
  12. Well done mate , bit of elbow grease and you have a clean interior , once the repairs are done it will be sweet .Jesus ,what plank welded that handbrake without covering up surrounding area first !!!. Keep up the good work , it will pay off .
  13. I would put out a wanted ,hallsender needed ,see what you get , at £92.00 you need to make sure !
  14. Just looked at goldies car on his thread thats just been updated , how the hell do you get a shine like that ? . I had a full respray a year ago , it was done professionally . I wash it properly , polish and use the expensive autoglym wax , but it does not look like it should ? is it me being fussy ? . Friends on the forum who live near me say it looks great but it seems lacking to me when you compare it to goldies pic ?. Colour is dbp by the way . Rob

  21. Yep the good days do , there is not one person on this forum who has not had trouble ,at some point , but they are very reliable cars generally . It just seems that sometimes you sort one problem ........and you come up against another . Good servicing and maintenance usually keeps the old girls running fine , they are getting on a bit now . Good luck with yours .
  22. The part that is hanging is the traction control relay , not that it does much , it was supposed to give traction up to a certain speed . It clips on to the abs unit , which is under your header tank .
  23. One on fleabay , at 700.00 its a little steep but looks mint , also a nice beige set thats cheaper .
  24. Was that the same as zx81 ? so long ago i cant remember , think i will be goin on utube tonight for some classic 80s , no rick astley either !
