    agree with that ! lol . once you have the bentley manual its not that bad though. yes alex you are right about vw , before i got hold of a manual i rang vw , they would not touch it .

    you have to peel it back very carefully just a bit at a time . take a decorators box cutter [the one with the snap off blades ] . with this you can reach deeper behind the plinth to keep cutting and slicin away at the black gunky stuff that is holding it on . if you take your time you will get it off in one piece . regards rob

    welcome along mate as above get the car you really want , there are some nice cars available on here regularly , sure there was a storm a few days back that needed a little work ,but a nice one to start with .

    lol me too . three grey carpets , one interior. more plastics ,speakers lights ash trays , grills and god knows what else in the garage .

    not easy but not impossible . need to remove the rubbers , then cut away the bonded silicone bit by bit and take your time . the problem often comes with the pillars . because they are a weak spot . if you have a busted screen and autoglass or whoever comes to fit it they have to bung loads of silicone around them because they need to seal the screen around aload of rust n crap which obviously makes it very difficult to remove . regards rob

    mine were really stuck aswell , keep spraying the wd40 , with a bar on the socket to give you more leverage the nuts will give in sooner or later .
