hi guys , been having some trouble starting me vr for a few days. idle was a bit sketchy as well. me and langers changed the plugs , cleaned the leads and dizzy. she was running fine . went to start her today and its just turning over ,and refuses to start . break down came out and werent much use. he said it was electrical?. the fuel pump seems to be primeing. was going to clean isv tommorow as well . any advice welcome . regards rob .

my central locking was playing up so i tackled it today. found a broken wire ,which i sorted. next i replaced the plastic bits which the metal rods attach to as they were broken. that was a right cowson , but i got there in the end. but i still have the same problem , boot and petrol cap locks ,the doors dont . the pins are going up and down when you push the fob so i presume its not a leak ?. advice welcome please , regards rob .

congrats on getting naths car mate , its a nice car . was a bit low n hard though! i remember him givin it the beans from my house n wackin the sump on a low bit!.Tis a nice car though.

someone i know had one of them renault sport things , that was very quick , but i would say it was dangerous it was like bein in a tin can . flimsy as feck. You would not want an accident in it !

have just sprayed my scuttle panel in a stonechip resistant plastic gloss paint . could be the one your looking for its made by simoniz. Its acrylic so its quick drying aswell. regards rob

nice one its good to know they still want to look after the old dubs . reading this with you mentioning windrush reminds me of the old days living round there !.......still want to stay well clear of slough though ! lol

wtf? .i have full no claims on me van . proberbly makes no difference though, but even so i have a classic policy fully comp , mileage of 1500. the lowest i got as said was 279.00 . they quoted me 550.00! im 41 so alot older than you , they must make it up as they go along !. i dont have any points ,convictions nothing .

hi, do you mind me asking how old you are , no claims bonas n that .was quoted way more than performance direct by them , im paying 279.00 at the mo . at 41 i dont expect to pay that much .

there is a nut on the gearbox , undo that [get the tray ready before hand to catch the oil] . you will need a pump and a clean bottle to get the new oil back in ,as its not possible to pour the new oil in . regards rob

would also recomend oil change , mine feels realy nice since i have done it , even though what came out was not that grim .

give performance direct a bell , i know im older than you but they have always been way cheaper than the rest . regards rob
