bit like that in my garage aswell . he bought me a trickle charger though. today he tried to fix the heater control because a wheel cog had broken ,at one point i thought he was going to beat me senseless with a hammer ! he shouted a big long string of f=-;'[ts,and called me all the names under the sun .

thanks to purple tom for dash covers ,very quickly sent out , nice one and a big thanks to easypops for the heater part which was sent out for free aswell .

sorry mate should have replied to you first as you were first to reply . how much and pay pal needed ,will do first thing in the morning , as said i need it for sunday ,just to be sure its the grey one that opperates the direction control regards rob .

if you are sure its exactly the same i will take it , we did remove one from a polo last night at the scrappy but the snail like bit goes the opposite way!!. let me know how much , if ok i will pay tonight as i need to fit it on sunday . regards rob

the bit you turn [the knob thingy] should just come away with a gentle twist from a screwdriver they just snap on and off . so does the piece its attached to ,the black wheel will then be free to take out . the grey one [one i need] will then be free to come out . they are snapped in tight . if you dont fancy doing it , no worries as easypops might have one , thanks rob

there has to be a way of connecting the bowden cable without stripping the dash out . i have been trying for ages ,just seems impossible to get to hands up to it , to clip the cable onto the plastic lug . the direction cable is the one im fitting ....or not fitting as it were! any ideas people ? regards rob

at last the sunroof is finaly sorted !!!! , centre consol is off to replace broken direction control . will soon be respraying the leather and the colour im now 99% sure on is oxblood red . after that its front wheel bearings to replace , then temp senders . think that should do to make her ready for summer driving.
