looking fantastic :salute: when i dyed my seats n cards someone said to me why not go for the oxblood red colour ? .at the time i thought no it will be to much , but looking at yours , it looks great . i have to do mine again because of some contamination off my hands ? got on the drivers seat and the colour started to come off even with the satin sealer on , it wore on the piping [porka seats] . may go for the red now
-
im not going to be much help .....but the valver was parked next to mine at a local show , and its a lovely car , i agree with kip , but at the same time i love the vr . in the words of the kid in the old aa advert '' im not helping much am i '' .
-
only way to find out is door card off and the plastic membrane , door lock off then you can see what the problem is , they are very fiddly to get to ,you need a small child that will do the job for you as it is almost impossible to get your hands in there  . both metal rods hook on to a plastic piece . mine is broken so im givin up and just having the door pin stickin up for show ! after all its not like you use them is it . and you are right its to cold to be outside working me n matt took some more parts off the valver today it was bleedin parky !
-
if its your daily then fair play mate you need all the protection you can get , i took mine off when i had the respray , so now have no intention of parking in tesco carpark  or any other carpark for that matter .
-
depends on how you want the car to look. the lines look cleaner without strips , as for stickin em back on would double sided tape make them stick out to far ?. what i mean is its fairly thick so the strips would not sit as close as they did from the factory . mabe some type of rubber glue ?.
-
that looks bad  hope you get it sorted without to much bother. bet you would love to bring down that baseball bat on his kneecaps!!
-

hi mate , open bonnet , gently remove the tubes . you will be able to push the jets out from underneath the bonnet , they may be a bit tight but will come out.
-
welcome to forum quarter of a mile .... no idea but quick enough! ins group 17 ? i may be wrong , someone will correct me . weight ? not sure .... but they weigh some  0. 60 varies in different books n mags i like the quickest one 6.4 secs , but there are plenty of options to bring on more horses  they are a great car to drive , if n when you buy one , put down the window at about 3n a half rpm in second floor it and listen to that roar of the vr :D
-
one of the reasons it went back to bare metal was because it was blown over a few times ! they emailed me and said theres no way we are painting over that !
-
yep well worth it , i payed £2,400 , having said that they did it for pound notes , and worked on it at weekends and the evenings , so no vat on that either. my build thread shows what they did , alot of it back to bare metal , they even did the plastic arches in the black gunky stuff. that price included two new pillars from vw as well . the company did a fantastic job and alot of people have said what a great job they did . they are in bath though , still not a million miles from you .
