also consider a superchip , i believe its the same sort of thing , i have one fitted by previous owner ,people who have driven mine say its very responsive .

as above , when mine went in for a respray they tried to take it out and it split . it was then they discoverd the pillers were rotten, they replaced these. anywho the point is when i rang autoglass they had no problem with fitting a new one . apparently they call them a fitters nightmare because of notorious piller rot, thats why mine broke because they had put so much mastic in to fill over all thr rust !.

ok heres the deal im struggling with mine as well, loads of small bits to finish, but love it .you shout at me n i will shout at you :lol:

find yourself an auto electrician , thats what i did, they are not cheap but at least you get the job done .

finaly got to see get him to the greek , 6\10 has alot of funny moments .

as i always say im not against people doing something different otherwise how boring would it be , ....but ......eeerrrrm that is ......rank to say the least, must have had some halfords vouchers .

i have grey interior complete ,based in devon , parts would be cheap to send as they are only light in weight.

tps do the ones i have which are the blue igniters.

its been a while since an update. have just painted the top engine cover. have newish door seals to fit . tried to do the sunroof again! it works as should but when i put the seal around the headlinning, it seems to tight and it wont work[ i hate the sunroof its drivin me nuts ].i rang tps and the cable for direction control is now obselete :mad2: . getting new temp senders this week and wheel bearings [front]. then its out with the interior again for another furniture clinic respray , will do the grey handbrake tunnel at the same time as mine is knackerd. oh yea need to fit the window rollers . rob .

getting there slowly mate , its a shame that everything takes up so much time , i wonder how many c's on this forum spend more time in the garage than on the road ?, i never seem to get mine right .

hey mate, my shoppin list is bigger than yours :lol: i will start strippin the valver durin the week if no work comes in , can only do early saturday morning as want to take the kids skating. will also be at naths garage in evenings as he has been told to shift c asap, so feel free to pop along and get your hands dirty.

All great shows for the type you are interested in. Plus there is Stoner in early June down Reading / Henley way if that's not too far for you. (We have passed it by the last few years as time and petrol money have been short). And don't forget the CCGB National Day though the date and venue are yet to be decided. Talks are underway and it it likely to be South - South West midlands area. i want to go to stoner this year , spent most of my youth in reading , henley , but want the c to be finished to enter the show , also living in the southwest now would be great to go to ccgb show ,midlands not very far from me .

mine is the same , 1234 work, hot to cold works . when i rang tps on friday they said direction control is now obselete, the cable i mean . lucky ive got a car that is about to be stripped for parts !as my cable has a kink in it ,ive tried to straighten it but it was not having it .

took doorcards off [had to come off anyway as they and seats need furniture clinic respray]. to try an do door pins :epicfail: way to fiddly, gave up!. took off plastic head n rockercover ,cover thingy, to be painted in silver tommorow, got no work so may as well get some stuff done ,also got new door seals to fit .

mine are simular mabe a touch lower weather depending. although if you start to give her some stick oil temp will rise to 110 ?

i did mine where you can see the cable[wire] on top of the slam panel.also if its only releasing at the last bit has it stretched over the years?.it looks like you can undo the wire by the slam panel and pull some through then re tighten, bit like you used to do with a brake cable on a pushbike .

i sussed out that it goes on the black plastic part, but it came off the other rod inside the door when i tried to connect the door pin rod to it :mad2: .even when you have it in your hand trying to fit it it can only go in one way :shrug: and you can tell that its just going to pull straight out again.. i may just fit the door pin inside the hole with something so i dont have that hole gettin on me nerves all the time .

the leather needs to be sprayed again anyway, so will proberbly fill the holes wth something, then use the leather filler for smoothness. once they have been done again you will never know .

yep me to , ive found where its sposed to go , only thing is you need the hands of a child to fit it and it does not want to stay there . it does not bother me so much as the pin wont work [you dont need it anyway ] its the hole in the door card that annoys the hell out of me !

as above i cant see where the metal rod should attatch :shrug: the door lock and card n that is all off , been shining the lead light inside , there is only a small hook on the end of the rod what does it hook onto ?. thanks rob .
