proberbly tank off job, thought they used to blow air into them to get dents out ,but then you have the danger of the seam splitting. cant be to much for a second hand one can it ?

its a bit like havin a real christmas tree in the house , a year later and your still finding bits :lol: nice to a have fresh paint though you cant beat it :luvlove:

when i got mine back me n nath walked round and round it checking for orange peel ! :lol: i wanted mine flat n smooth. it takes along time to get rid of that white powder ,it took me about four cleans , and an airline bleedin stuff gets in every nook n cranny :(

i thought there was a post a while back about someone dyeing their carpet ? i mentioned it to er in doors , she said it was difficult to dye nylon ,being plasticy .

starting up from cold yea the tappets sound abit noisey ,but within 5 seconds or so the oil will reach them and the engine should be quiet .how many miles are on the car ?

sorry if i missed any bits ,but did anyone find different centre caps for the compo's ? or did they get painted ? thanks rob

thanks bud rapid learning mode? ,i have to have the cover on bud as there are other things in the garage , i can hear the excuse now'' i only went in there to get some tree lights ,it must have been the studs on me jeans that scratched it'', !.

dont intend on puttin the vr on the road for a good few months ,she has been garaged since end of september. since she had respray im even more ocd about her! .is it best to start it up every week or just remove the battery and leave it alone , i cant drive it as there is no road tax ,was thinking sod it get the tax so i can take her out on good days just to keep all the parts moving . anyone have advice ? thanks rob

oooo coming on nicely , soon be done . bet you cant wait . the only thing that miffed me when mine was done was the holograms from machine poishing ,took me hours to get rid of em .

glad nath answered this , i have his old porka seats now ,but had no idea about the frames . they are so nice to sit in so pleased i have them :)

my vr is tucked up in the garage so no chance of her gettin dented , ......no funny comments matt :lol:

did you respray the whole seat? i did mine and its coming off on the piping[i have porka seats ].the guy said to me what finish do you want .i wanted satin ,didnt know you had to gloss them first then put on the satin . how did you get into the folds of the seat? the only way i can see is to pull the bits away while someone sprays it then dry it with a hairdryer so it wont rub off straight away. doin all mine again and the plastics aswell so it all matches .nice c by the way looks like its gone to a good home .

done by previous owner at 100k while the new head was fitted now on 140,000. engine is so quiet when started .

may need to change the motor as well as the switch. also give the runners a good clean out n a bit of lube .

Cheap. I would definitely go for it. unless you know someone who is a mate rentin it you would get a square meter of a garage where i live for that kind of dough, thank god i dont live in london anymore be even worse :lol:

thats the best thing to do mate . even if its a two miles from your drum , fork out for the garage and invest in a cheap mountin bike ,you can sleep at night then instead of every noise wakin you up thinking is that someone messin with me c .

i realy want to sort out the underside of me vr . wanting to re waxoil it, will a different product react with original coating? have read a few posts on other products, need advice on the best one to use .also general painting of parts underneath aswell can some of them be done in situe or have i got to strip it ? brake lines n stuff in the way?. looking at the c now i should have waited and done this before she was resprayed bit a**e a bout face way to rebuild a car but never mind ,thanks for any advice ,rob
