    I'm not sure if mine turned up ?. Remember I told you that I put 23, on the address instead of 34? . I went across to the house and they were away for the summer. I finaly got hold of them and there is no card to say it had tried to be delivered or a parcel left for them .

    sump gasket .

    Where have you purchased a sump gasket from ?. My car is a 92 so i need the paper type not the late rubber one . I dont like it when you look online and it says , fits this ,fits that . Regards Rob

    My birthday is on the 23rd . So "er in doors " asked what I wanted . So I will get the new sump . I've started to paint the subframe. I coated it in engine de greaser and cleaned it three times . I count my lucky that the car it came off of , must have been leaking oil which has protected it really well and stopped it rusting.So after using a wire brush in the drill I had a good key for painting . Tomorrow I will ring heritage and order the bolts needed to reassemble the frame to the chassis.

    Got it in one Edd. No mating areas can be coated. I had to touch mine back in with paint as it was tight for the suspension arms , a little to thick in those areas . As soon as I picked mine up after powder coating, I got it home and applied grease to the untouched flats where the stub axles fit , to stop it going rusty.

    Hi Diarmaid. It's the adjustable part I'm looking for .It has the small 6mm nut on it .

    Afternoon chaps . I'm after the part that the cable feeds into , above the passenger headlight . Mine snapped when I tried to undo the small nut . Regards Rob

    On the subject of your oil starvation. It may be obvious to vince and he would have spotted it , but , I was talking to a mate the other day who had his G60 rebuilt . It blew up after a short time . It was only when it was stripped that they noticed one of the shells had been put in the wrong way round, this led to oil starvation. Just a thought Jim .

    Evening chaps . While my car is sorn , as im refurbing the underside , ive been looking at a few other bits that need sorting . The battery tray is in good condition but has a little surface rust . What is the best way to treat this before paint ?.Also im going to use a rattle can to spray the area afterwards , so where do you get good quality paint in a can ?. Regards Rob

    Anti roll bar is now painted and the metal clips that fit over the rubber bushes . My new mounts arrived today . So I'm waiting on my subframe from Stu, which is on the way . I will then prep and paint it . I've decided to not to buy a new sump , the old one can be painted too.

    I suppose it all depends what sort of clearance you have . I know you know your stuff Sean . I started mine rear to front . It doesn't matter really . I just didn't want to much going on at the same time.
