1. Senor Corrado was MOT'd today and is all good for another year. Just a partially seized rear (n/s) caliper needed to be replaced as the handbrake wasn't effectively locking down on both rear discs. Very happy bunny here - could have been worse!!
2. How would printing a 3D VR6 Speedline centre cap hold up feasability-wise? Too big? I've recently lost one and i've not been able to find one anywhere.
3. New battery needed today. Haven't got the bill yet!!
4. Two new front tyres over the weekend for the MOT due early December. Silly buggers at the tyre place didn't put the centre cap in correctly and now i'm missing one on the front offside Speedline. Any one have a spare one up for grabs? Ta!
5. Gave the K and N Cone filter a bath - it was totally rank. Now it's all nice and dry and red again!!
6. The pic still won't upload - not sure why..... here's a link...... https://i.postimg.cc/vmzyq1KH/Clip.jpg
7. Quite a lot of views - thought there may one or two other answers here..... but hey ho. Well, that clip DOES fit - got it done this morning..... left the wipers on for a couple of minutes and they're as right as ninepence. Pic below...... or rather there should be - doesn't appear to want to upload. I'll hoist it up tomorrow. Cheers
8. can't see anything after a quick google......
9. Does anyone know if these work..... and will they fit the small linkage? Thanks,
10. Not a good start to the morning :bonk:- the wiper link from the motor detached itself and it looks like the middle plastic part has totally vanished. Seem to recall someone posting up a 'fix' for this somewhere, but i can't find it for looking. Wasn't it something to do with coat-hanger wire and a pair of pliers? If anyone can help, i'd be really grateful as i know VW heritage no longer has this part in stock. In fact, pretty sure it's been discontinued. Thanks.
11. Not looking for any spares right now matey, but sorry to hear what happened. You must be gutted.
12. "Is anyone else like me that once the summer starts to end you think .should i get rid of the corrado"...... Absolutely not!
13. A lot lower than it used to be these days. I'd say around 5.5-6k a year.......
14. My VR6 has been a daily since i bought it........ 17 years ago!!
15. One of my favourite colours as well...... such a shame.
16. Wasn't there a forum member here that swapped out the Corrado heater/blower system for a Climatronic one - seem to recall there was a thread all about it.......
17. I always thought Brown was a bit of a bleep!!
18. A big WOW from me as well. Looks absolutely stunning!!
19. Never thought to Google it Jim - worra narna!! Thanks for the quick response though. Knew the buggers would get more dosh out of me one way or another!! Cheers!!
20. Or to be totally PC about it...... Vehicle Excise Duty... but it's still a bleeping tax...... Anyway - i digress. My Corrado was first registered in 1994, which means next year, he'll be 25 years old. Am i right in thinking that once a vehicle hits this landmark they are exempt from road tax? I'm sure I read somewhere that 25 years was the 'cut-off'' for this.... Cheers
21. This was happening to my Corrado - the hidden fuse was blown. It MIGHT be that there's something insde the door panel itself that's making contact with the window winder mechanism and shorting it out - this was the case with mine anyway. The guy at the garage secured the offending object well away from the winder mechanism, and all was hunky dory. Hope that may help you.
22. All fixed. It was the fiendish hidden fuse.......
23. Oh crap. I didn't know there was a fuse above the fuse box......
24. Good Evening Gentlemen. I trust you are all enjoying the sunshine., Just went to lock up the car, and take the windows up. Passenger side went up OK, but drivers side only half way, and the Central Locking isn't bringing the 'buttons' down on the doors. Guessing this problem is related, so i'm half expecting some of you to say a fuse - particularly in this hot weather. Also guessing that the CL and the Windows are on the very same fuse - as it would be strange for them both to go kaputski at the same time. As always, any input would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks
