    Early spec & late spec

Quite a lot of differences... the front bumper, the fogs / indicators, the headlights, the wings, the bonnet and the rear bumper are all different...
  2. Thanks Chris. Roger - was good to meet you yesterday. Are your old injectors still available / up for grabs?
  3. Difficult job to change the injectors in / out?
  4. Welcome to the forum :)
  5. I think we had about 46 on the stand in the end - a great result. Thanks to everyone who came along especially those of you who made efforts to come from far and wide - Wales, Scotland, and the south coast, etc. Most impressive :)
  6. Depends how loud it is really. The fuel pump on my VR has whined quite loudly ever since I got it.. And that was three years ago. I would worry about it if you get running issues otherwise just drive it till the fuel pump packs in! :-)
  7. Bring all your gear. If you can live without access to a hose pipe and are happy enough just rinsing the car off with a bucket of water or two, you can wash the car at the show :) Get the worst of the mud & crud off at a local jetwash and then just tart it up there on the day!
  8. Given what I was recently charged for getting a set of front wheel bearings pressed in and out on both my front hubs, I'd say that's an excellent deal (I paid £40... so almost half way towards your press set!).
  9. Problem is nothing seems to last. I use a VW Bumper & Trim care gel on my Corrado and I go round and do all the rubbers round the window, the bump stops on the door, and the door handles - and the next time I wash the car they're all pale grey again. Rubbish!
  10. Have ended up inundated here in many respects. Appreciate the offer Hatton but would feel a bit odd imposing on members I didn't know well for favours like that! Lined up a quote with a chap now.. Just got to go see the car and do the deal :-) Be sure to keep an eye on my members gallery thread! ;)
  11. Cool - thanks for the tip. Found his page. Will drop him a line.
  12. Good work mate - see you at Stanford :)
  13. Fair old slog for Hywell though from Wales.. I could drop him a line though and see if it's something he'd be interested in quoting for! :)
  14. Cheers.. however just got a quote from the eBay guy at £130 which is door to door - collection and delivery, fully insured, and he has exemplary feedback on eBay. I think I have a winner :)
  15. Ah bugger.. I'd have happily been a trial run for him :) Ah well.. ---------- Post added at 7:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:46 PM ---------- Found a chap based in Northampton with very good feedback.. I've dropped him a line!
  16. How soon is he looking to get started?! :)
  17. Bump. Obviously I can Google and find random companies but was specifically hoping to get recommendations based on experience. Ta.
  18. Great pics Fay :) Car looks terrific!
  19. I just wondered if any folks here have any reccomendations for a company to move a non-running car for me? I need the car moving about 90 miles - from the Cambridge area, up to Coventry. I'm hoping we can get the car to a point where it can be rolled on its wheels but it doesn't have a running engine so would need to be winched up onto a low loader / trailer. Anybody ever used such a company before? Alternatively anyone with a car / trailer want to earn some beer tokens (and obviously petrol, etc reimbursed). Cheers.
  20. Christ - there's no way the Corrado driver survived that one :| Horrendous. Google Translate does a reasonable job of translating it - a terrible story all round :( All involved died.
  21. Well if you happen to forget something or leave something behind, don't fret - I'm up visiting friends in Glasgow at the end of May and can drop anything off on the way up.. lol!
  22. My first random chuftie in years! Walked back to my car after work and a girl was getting some stuff out of her car parked up just behind mine - I unlocked mine and she looked up to say "Lovely car!". I was so surprised so said something like "thanks... But its a bit of an old car!" to which she replied "yeah but its in lovely condition" before wondering off. Put a big smile on my face!
  23. Tsk. Please get a proper sale thread sorted out - covert advertising like this isn't on!
