Um - not that same as my experience with classic insurers who all demand limited mileage - usually around 3000 miles a year :(

Result! :) Congratulations.

Chris Gaskell (RW1) Gathering at 1pm at Stanford Hall to Honour Him
Jim replied to KIPVW's topic in General Car Chat
That's so fantastic we've gotten to the £500 mark.. a really fitting tribute for Chris. Well done everyone who donated. -
Could be worse - could have been a cup of coffee or something! At least pepper will hoover out!

Not far short of £350! :) -
Hehe.. I'm sure these will be an easy sell :) I'd definitely take a set as spares!

Still find it a little difficult to believe he won't be there at Stanford (or any other number of shows) working away on detailing his Corrado or Scirocco.. so sad :( -
He did make an apologetic post on Facebook about having to price everything in dollars as Discovery (who are funding the show) want to show it in the states as well and America is essentially the primary market. He said it was out of his hands - simple.

Er no... I'm in my early 30's!!

As folks on the watch forums like to say, wear it in good health! :)

They seem to be getting a fair bit of business out of the forum.. but that's what good customer service, good prices and word of mouth will bring you!

Volvo 850R Estate For Sale, Rare Manual, Low Miles, MTE Remap!
Jim replied to rado-steve's topic in Ebay and Misc
Bloody love these! Good luck with the sale :) -
I think we must talk to the same little birdie :) Can't wait to see the feature. Whilst it's not actually a feature on the Corrado itself, the Corrado is the car they used and I'm hoping it gets some suitable plaudits from the driver!

I thought when I drove the Stealth VR6 turbo it felt 'supercar quick' but didn't really want to say it out loud for fear of ridicule.. but I think it goes to show I wasn't imagining it. The sheer pace when I came down a slip road and onto the motorway and I nailed it through 3rd and 4th almost took my breath away.

Indeed - goes without saying I'm wishing you the best! Certainly having seen your training plan up at Elsecar a few weeks ago, you've certainly put in 110% in terms of training for it so I'm sure you'll complete it just fine.. no luck required :)

It would have to be immaculate for 4k with a comprehensive history that included timing chains, etc. Without that I think 4k is too much.

Welcome to the forum. Full VW service history doesn't mean much these days to be honest, especially on something as old as the Corrado.. I'd personally rather have a VW specialist service history. But if it's clean, straight, low mileage (I'd want old MOT's to back that mileage up), and the Recaro interior I'd expect to pay about £3,000 maximum for that. Check whether the timing chains have been done too! I'm willing to bet they won't have been.

Must have been a VR Turbo of some sorts (or maybe a more modern engine.. R32 turbo?) but even then that's impressive as it was pulling away too and the RS6 is definitely no slouch! Mental.

WTF is in that Corrado to see off an RS6!!
