  1. the runners on the small ones are straight on the outside, whilst the big ones have a "bump" to give room for the sparkplugs
  2. Is this the Austrian site? http://www.turbo-drive.at/TurboDrive/
  3. It is also wort to take note that some manufacturers allow their tyres to be fitted 9-16 and it is approved by TÜV. These include Dunlop SP2000/9000, Toyo and some Fulda's I think. If you go to Steffan.de you can register and they can send you the TÜV-approval for their Steffan EVO 9-16 and you will have a complete list of manufacturers. If in doubt you can also get in touch with the German supplier of the make in question to give you a reifenfreigabe. I did this on my Hankook Ventus K102 as fitted to my old RH Cups 8-14. You need to provide the weight of the car, rim width, top speed etc to gain the certificate
  4. Is there a LSD available for these boxes? Considering fitting one in my G40 Maybe I should just rob my Golf V 2,0L FSI of its box lol
  5. I know a girl that drive a turbo konverted Corrado G60
  6. Please do not use anything less than a 215/40-16 on 9-16. There is a reason why TÜV wont allow it, and tyre manufacturers wont give you a so called Reifenfreigabe for it. But if you feel more competent and have better testing equipment than TÜV and tyre manufacturers, go a head....... If you cherish your rado and your life, use a 215/40-16
  7. Why not fit a G60 digifant and have Pitstop map it for you?
  8. As I said on Dubforce, if you are going for custom pistons, go for the 144's Although the stock rods can take a lot of abuse eg T3 S60 and 1,5 no problem
  9. You need a chip specially mapped for the new mapsensor. They are not all linear. The fuelgrid in the ECU is 16x16. 16 rows for load (eg boost) and 16 coloumns for speed (eg rpm) When changing to a 300mbar mapsensor you are changing the steps betwen the load sites from 12,5mbar to 18,75 mbar, which makes it harder to map some of the transitions Why do you want to run a 300mbar mapsensor? Are you planning to run 2 bar boost?
  10. The thing is, that if the ECU does not sense less boost when it has told the ISV to bleed, it retards igniton. This hurts performance more than the loss of a little boost The ISV normally bleed when the MAP-senor voltage is around 3,7V
  11. Whats the condition of your 1m hose to the ecu?
  12. It not safe to go slimmer than 215/40 according to Tüv. If you feel you have more expertise and knowledge, be my guest :doc:
  13. Shaggsy, well if you think the W5DP0 are cheaper, you might want to think again You can get cheaper plugs that will work, but they wont work as long, so you'd be better off with some platinum plugs. They normally last 3-4 times as long as copper plugs
  14. Du kan få det en god del billiger her da http://www.krogslund.no/html/m62.htm#04
  15. Have you checked the wiring from the connector to the lambda? Doesn't take much for those old wires to be damaged when moving it over from one car to another
  16. These are not the correct/direct replacments for W5DP0. Platinum plugs are about 3 times that. The plug you are refering to is probably the 3 prong with Bosch number W5DTC or the single prong W5DC. You can also use the silver tipped W5CS.
  17. Check your blue CTS with multimeter. It should read 2000-3000 when cold and around 200 when at operating temp. My bet is on the lambda or some earth you have forgotten
  18. I'd say BK Racing or Lenso
  19. Only one of the major German tuners do that kind of RS2-porting now. I guess theres a good reason for that....... I causes more stress on the supports makes the scroll more prone to vibrations. Kinda like buying 6 spoke rims and cutting away 3 spokes to improve brake cooling :cuckoo: , These charges have been known to blow up from everything less than 1K miles and up combined with smaller pulleys (72-65mm) Also remember if you are going to port your charger, that if your grinder slips once, that is enough to make an expensive paperweight out of your charger
  20. I really must agree with dub envy. There are a lot of "know-it-all" tossers on Porka. Been slated several times when offering good advice. If there is some obscure Polo part needed, guess who know where to find it..
  21. Well if your car sports it, you are either ignorant or racist.
  22. Sealey do them for little over 100 quid http://www.ccw-tools.co.uk/catalogue/pr ... cat_id=120
