  1. Ah you are right, my mistake. Still, 3.0l flat 6! pretty awesome.
  2. Im quite a big fan of all things Subaru, and if i am not mistaken did the spec Bs not have the same flat 4 turbo as the WRXs? If so, get it bought! Seriously i have only heard good things about them. Good Luck with it!
  3. I used to have a Cupra R, 225 jobbie. I loved it. Extreamly rapid, faster then my classic shape Scooby, and quicker point to point the the TVR that replaced it. Although that could be down to lack of talent on my behalf. Very competent, lots of room/kit/toys. But... very dull. Just does everthing that is asked of it and gobbles up the road. Normally a good thing, but I prefer cars you have to work with rather then instruct. Still as a daily, I would have one back in a heartbeat.
  4. That is properly cool. I wonder if they do one with a late bonnet. Or a larger one... I'm off to the bay! :D
  5. I thought the City Golf was the MK1 style one with the polo interior that they only just stopped making. Possibly in South Africa, can't remember. Having said that, the thought occures that there is no reason that 2 cars on 2 continents can't be called the same thing... I'll get me coat.
  6. Beaten to it. looks like a good one, dont know about spending $50k on it though... would like to see where that has gone to be honest. Especially since the chap claims in PVW to have done most of the work himself.
  7. I really enjoyed the Sports Saloons bit. I have a secret crush on the old Cosworths... :help: Would have liked to have seen a bit more on that really. It not really a car program anymore, its automotive comedy. I could be wrong, but there were only 2 car review in the entire program, both for cars that we either cant buy or are totally useless in the UK. But they did a very good piece on Corrados a few years back so that buys them a lot of slack.
  8. I'll go for lowering of any form, the standard ride hight is just wrong IMO of course!
  9. I hate you. A lot. LOL Build thread mate? It would be rather boring at the moment mate, its in bits and has been in bits for about 3 months :brickwall: ! Hopefully now that all the bits have been gathered together we can get it finished this month. Worst case get it in a position to roll over to NormanCoal's for the engine install. Perhaps once its all done i will put a bit in readers rides about it. :norty:
  10. Funny you should mention that mate, thats just what I am doing! R32 lump and KW V3 suspention!
  11. Bloody hell, thats munched! Glad they paid up mate! Have you got an ETA on getting all done?
  12. That it is almost finished. :D I have wanted a Rado since I was about 12, I when I finally bought one I only drove it twice before ripping it apart! They are such pretty cars, and for some reason the rear buckets really do it for me!
  13. ? sorry, Im still a bit sleepy, what do you mean? After reading the junglists' comment several times I believe he means: "My car was slower than yours when it was 12v, it will surely be even slower now you have gone 24v. Good work chap" Brilliant!
  14. Had a look at that Jetta, its really nice. Cant belive he only wanted £2k Not that I have 2k of course...
  15. I have had tyres replaced by the AA in the past. About 5 years ago to be fair, but it was an AA branded van etc. Wonder when they stopped.
  16. Just ran the rado through compare the market, with all mods declared, not a single company will touch it!! Brilliant! :cuckoo: Looking forward to that conversation later in the year then... its only an R32 for gods sake  .
  17. Saw your C at Stoner mate, thought it was one of the nicest there to be honest. Good work that man. :salute: Shame that mine wasnt ready in time. Am currently trying to convince everyone that I was saying it would be ready for Stonor 2011, not 2010. Althought even that is looking ambitious. :brickwall:
  18. Well then, assuming I ever get it finished, I will give you guys a call. Thanks :salute:
  19. What are you like with modified Corrados Tim? Apologies if this has been covered, didn't really fancy reading back over 2 years of posts. If its helpful: Male, 27, 6yrs NCB, clean license and a W10 postcode. Thanks
  20. Did you put the Pork seats in yourself mate? Was it a big job, and do they sit low enough for you? I want to try it but also dont want to be scraping my head on the roof! :D
  21. I would say all of the above and / or convert it to run on carbs. it may seem counter intuative, but the power gains can be quite substantial and the noise is fantastic! Might cost a fair bit and fuel economy would be shot but it could be worth it!
  22. Got mine from Jetex direct, was a bit of a wait, but only a week or so before they sent them. Not on yet so cant comment on the sound but the quality is great!
