  1. Shows what a load of crap the 'green' element of the scrappage scheme is, it would be much better to use it to keep an old car going than to build one from scratch to save 100gms of CO2 a mile
  2. theres a guy on the pistonheads forum who owns a car transport company, might be worth a try.
  3. Mine was £18 ish, but I dont know the part number but VW found it fine without one its really easy to change, just dont try re fitting it without taking out the old o ring like I did :epicfail:

  10. yesterday my car wouldnt start, called the AA and eventualy it started with the help of a jump he said it could be the blue temp sensor, it started after 2 attemps as usual after work and again at home once id replaced the temp sensor normaly my car takes 2 attempts to start, this morning i went to start it but it turned over for ages and ages without fireing, anyideas? its a 92 g60 with the icv removed and blanked off
  11. Try rasing it by hand, take off the plastic cover inside the boot, pull out the knob to engage it and turn it, if its smooth and easy to turn then it sounds like the motor rather than the shafts.

  21. with the isv removed and the pipes blanked it idles at about 1300, and takes ages to start, but with the valve fitted its un driveable, any ideas? cheers.
  22. Both switches work fine, I'm thinking the isv could be dead, the engine is acting the same way as it did when one of the blanks where the isv should have been leaked.
