have just received polished manifold from quicky for vr,when i'm changing would you advise on changing anything else while i'm at it (sensors etc).also,COME ON ENGLAND :clap: :clap: :clap:

gorgeous,mean front end shot,not thought of removing rear wiper done it on mine cleans up backend,don't seem to miss it.

this post should have a health warning,gone into a cold sweat after mawrick suggested may ignition switch coud be at fault.!!!!

thanks for advice,is there anyway of testing that(after reading "worst jobs to do on a c" post)don't fancy changing it just for the sake of it.also upon further inspection plug to blue sender wasn't clipped on properly,must of disturbed when fitting rad,fingers crossed running sweet atm,or am i being lulled into a false sense of security by the dreaded C !!!

after a few months trouble free and enjoyable motoring,my starting probelms reared its ugly head again yesterday.car turning over lovely,took three or four turns to start then a series of pops,then took few seconds to build up revs,then run lovely ??? crank shaft position changed last year ,could it have gone again so quickly ,guidance needed

from an independant,kwik fits"free"brake checks usually don't end up being free, be prepared and don't give in to any well trained sales patter!!!

sounds like crank shaft position sensor to me

finally done rad,removed slam panel like daleyboy said(cheers) confronted with brown crusty mess ,quick trip to halfords for supplies,then a good few hours of grinding,sanding and painting(would love to powdercoat but use as daily so inpractical)anyway very happy with job done.whilst doing all this front engine mount found to be us,read about vibra techics,do they do want they say on the tin,any feedback welcome .again big thanks to all the help posted last night :clap:

will slam panel come off without removing bumper!

sorry,yes it is a vr.will it go in with fans in place or should i fit when in postion

been reading the knowledge about re fitting rad which somehow holed today,all the posts i read suggest removing bumper and slam panel,has anybody done this job without removing these parts,thought i'd ask before i start?cheers

holed the rad,somehow!!! spent most of afternoon getting it out (much to the annoyance of the wife)."its that bloody car our me?" we all now the answer to that one :grin: seriously,can the new rad be put back with the fans attached,advice needed please -

just been given mk3 bonnet lifters,will they fit my vr,have had brief look can't see were top knuckle fits to bonnet plus will they take weight of corrado bonnet ?any help gratefully received cheers

cheers,wheels are17"ssw stanford mesh 2 ,wanted bbs but couldn't run too that,(good alternative) .front plate is held on by just normal numberplate pads.soon as i get black dash kneebars and wheel are coming off.again thanks for the feedback

rsjs(audi tt kneebars)fitted by previous owner,do give positive tight driving position,in process of changing interior(will probably take out)thanks for all the positives makes it worthwhile

got in cici to go out tonight,took at least five times to start ,would fire then just die suddenly,finally got her started went out and about ran fine,got home turned off then tried to start ,fired up ok.would love to put on vagcom but no garages in this area have that facility.recently had crank position sensor,plugs ,lead and relay 109(i think).any ideas oh great ones :grin:

yours for nothing,just gathering dust in garage,think its orginal,says "for volkswagen group"on cassette flap,not sure if it works or not,was spare when got car.good to see it being put to use,pm me your details and i'll pop it in post
