  1. I replaced mine the other day with one from Eurocarparts. Cost £30. Mine had been making a racket for the last year (progressively getting worse) so i don't know if its quieter than than the oem one. But i will advise to replace it sooner rather than later as mine used to only make a racket initially and then stop. But as it got worse and worse, i believe it caused the thermal fuse to blow and therefore was left with heater only working on setting 4.
  2. Ok in that case ill leave the handbrake handle. But do you have the plastic bit that runs from the handle over the tunnel? And if so is it black?
  3. Where can i buy them from? Just found wet drivers side footwell and reckon it is the drivers door skin.
  4. I assume these wont fit under standard 15" speedline wheels?
  5. Hi, Whats the bonnet and bumper like? Any dings/rust? Thanks
  6. Hi, Interested in the mirror glass. Do you have both drivers and passenger side? And how much roughly would postage be?
  7. Ok. So will it work on a MK6 golf?
  8. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but how exactly does this work? ie will it connect to a mk6 golf? And how does it connect? Does it need additional cables? Thanks
  9. Not sure if you can use the skoda sunroof motor as i assume the wiring will be different but you can just use the corrado one. Should be good enough to work the moonroof.
  10. Well done and congratulations. You'll def enjoy NYC.
  11. This is exactly why i take my car to Graham at DG for nearly everything that needs doing. Knows whats what and any issues will sort it out for you. I haven't been able to find a decent garage in london. In fact the last garage in london i used for my old Gti, all i wanted doing was to have new rear brake pads fitted (the snow put me off doing it myself). Half an hour after after they started working on the brakes they tell me that the piston is seized and they can't push it in. I asked them if they had the caliper wind back tool to which he replied "yeh yeh mate tried it all". They then tried to fob me off that i needed a new rear caliper which they could source for a "good price" of..........£268!! Told them to sod off. Following weekend dressed like an eskimo I changed the pads over in less than 30 mins both sideS. Caliper was fine just needed the right BLOODY tool.

  13. I found a fusebox clip when i was giving my VR a clean under the drivers seat. Didn't realise how 'precious' they were at the time. Also found a cover for the screws on the speedo. Again not realising at the time how lucky i was.

As mentioned before, id clean the ISV and see if that cures the problem. Cheap and easy fix (if it is the issue)
  15. Ok cheers guys. Will give the ECP one a go for now and see how i get on as it seems cheaper than ebay!
  16. Just been to Euro car parts and they have ordered me one for £30 (just the motor). Will this be the same as the cheaper ebay ones? And i don't suppose you remember how much you paid from the dealers?
  17. Where can i buy the heater fan and resistor pack that goes with it (the fan in the car) as mine only works on setting 4 AND the fan is making one hell of a racket. I've seen the repair guide for the thermal fuse but if i can get a new pack for not too much then rather do that.
  18. I don't have anything on mine (alarm nor immobiliser) and only ever had Direct line requesting i fit a CAT 1 device if they insured me. Never had issues with any other insurance companies.
  19. If the group buy went ahead id be in dependning on price.
