Ah yeh sorry. Car seemed very solid and i couldn't believe how well it pulled (first time mk2 gti driver). Was very impressed especially when it emerged the engine had done a lot more than the 153k showing on the clocks.

I know this but when it actually came to it didn't put it to practise. Can only put it down to natural instinct to avoid obstacles in your way.

Sunday night (about 9.30ish) i was on my way to London driving a mk2 Golf. Around Jnct 12 on the M40, in the slow lane doing circa 70mph and i see a fox walking across the lane. Started slowing down, the fox turns around to go back (towards the hard shoulder) and then stops and just stares as i come bearing down. I can't remember exactly what i did (brake and swerve or just brake) but next thing i know is the car is out of control and i hit the central reservation barrier and come to a stop almost horizintal in the fast lane. A bit confused i look up to see a car bearing down on me. It must not have seen me till the last second when it swerved out the way. A few seconds later another set of headlights are coming at me. I try to get out but my foot is stuck and when i look up the car hasn't seen me till the last second when it tries to swerve out the way but hits the front passenger corner of the car. This sends me a bit further down the road still in the fast lane. At this point i manage to get out and jump between the central reservation barriers (separating the 2 motorways). About 15-20 seconds later a BMW 6 series ploughs straight into the golf. Other cars now see the collision and slow down, stopping the traffic. I was obviously very shaken up and in shock. Some of the people that pulled over to help were amazing. Sitting me down in their cars to keep me warm, calm me down (probably not on here but thank you so much). Motorway was closed for a few hours while they cleared away the carnage. Thankfully no one was hurt (part from a sore neck). Absolutely terrifying ordeal, especially when i realised the cars couldn't see me sitting in the fast lane. To say i got a lucky escape is probably the understatement of the year. http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0984.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0982.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0981.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0979.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0978.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0974.jpg

Um whats self levelling? -
Guys heres the a pic with the part number. Let me know if it matches up with what you have. Thanks

Just to be clear im not after the actual pump itself (white in colour) thats is fitted in the doors. I need the control module located behind the rear drivers side door card. Think it has 3 or 4 sets of plugs going into it. Will try to get the rear panel off tomorrow to get a part number.
-
In need of both please. The door pin is the metal rod that sticks out the door card and goes to the white plastic clip. Also need the central locking module located behind the rear drivers side quarter panel. Thanks
-
Fitted new rollers yesterday. Was trying to put the damn doorpin back in place and somehow seem to have managed to bugger it up. Can't open the passenger door from the inside or outside. Have tried locking and unlocking the car but it just won't open. Problem is with the door shut I can't take the doorcards off to see what's wrong. Any ideas How to open the door or take the door card off with butchering it?

Finally fitted the window rollers i bought a year ago. Also upgraded the standard speakers with Hertz ones. And in the process managed to break the the passenger door so that i can't open it from inside or outside the car :-( More pain tomorrow i guess. ---------- Post added at 12:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 AM ---------- Finally fitted the window rollers i bought a year ago. Am i right in thinking that your car needs to be 2000 model or newer to put the plate on? If so then i guess you can't put it on any corrado.
-
A cup holder??? Didn't realise the corrado came with one.
-
Ah nice one. Will get them on the classifieds soon. Cheers

Is there any company that actually make a deeper blade to use with the standard arms?
-
Maybe with both EPC and engine management light on the engine goes into limp mode? Probably need vagcom to see what the problem is.

I've upgraded to 288mm calipers and they fit fine under my speedlines so not sure why you would have had to shave a few mm on the standard 280s. The 288s look very very close to the wheel under speedlines so maybe a previous owner has already upgraded the calipers? I picked up 2 sets of 288mm calipers/carriers for £50 each (one was off a mk4 which apparently don't fit) so not overly expensive.

Congrats mate.

Hi. Do you have a link to the seller or his eBay name? Cheers

My aunts been using the car for a few days and this morning she had the same issue. Put it into reverse to park up and the gearstick got stuck in reverse. After about 10 mins she managed to get it into neutral and drive home with no further issues. Back to the drawing board but not sure what to start replacing first. Gear linkage/cables or just bite the bullet and replace gearbox?

I bought the Halfords super brights (apparently equivalent to the phillips extreme) and im pretty happy with them. Along with an uprated loom my headlights give out a white light as opposed to the yellow candles before. Even had random comments about how white they look. The bulbs were £20 a side but on special offer were bogof.

Well done. Saw this Car advertised earlier this year but price was about £8.5k. Glad it's gone to its previous owner.
