  1. Woohoo. Managed to sort it. Still not 100% sure what the issue was but as i think the handbrake may have been tightened a little too tight and caused the brakes to glaze. Took them out cleaned them up and refitted. Also re adjusted the hand brake cable. Took it to the MOT station and it passed. Never been anxious about mots before as ive always had my cars pass, but at the re-test today i could feel my heart beating a little faster than normal lol. Ah well alls well that ends well. Cheers for the replies guys. First thing i checked was the sliding pins and they seemed fine so moved on from that.
  2. Ok. Will get the brakes re-bled. As for the sliders. Can i clean them up or best to buy new ones? Also can you buy them separately or do you need to buy with carriers?
  3. Just got my car back from mot station and it failed on the brake test. Its failed on the NS rear brake on both footbrake and handbrake. Thing is i put new calipers on the rear last week so not sure what the issue could be?? Any ideas what to look at? Have got 14 days to sort out and get a free re-test. Thanks

  12. HAve you tried car audio centre? To be honest its not that hard a job to have a go your self. If you did go it alone im sure i could find some time to give you a hand as im just down the road from you in wembley.
  13. I have a similar issue but have put it down to a lazy fuel pump (i think)
  14. Well done mate. I had this on mine a while back and fixed it same way as you mentioned above. Never felt prouder and the central locking still works today :-)
  15. Glad its sorted mate.
  16. Have you swapped the yellow and red wires (in the above pic)? So you have yellow going into the red and vice versa. Don't forget you need to take the key out the ignition to turn the stereo off (well on mine you do).
  17. I heard recently that because cars these days have such good security, only way for thieves to steal your car is by getting hold of the keys. Which is why break ins into homes for car keys has increased so much. If your cars on the driveway then they know which house to break in to whereas if its on the street then they won't know which house to break in to hence your car is "safer". Therefore the price difference in your quotes. I haven't got a clue how the above explains the price for storing the car in a garage though lol.
  18. Hi Ill take the TT wipers and blades if they're still available. Not in a rush so whenever your free to post is fine. Thanks.
  19. My sentiments exactly. Did he not check the car over when he picked her up?
  20. Hi How much for the parcel shelf straps posted? Thanks
  21. Thats a very cool video. Wish i had the skills to make one myself.
  22. Right been looking around for second hand bikes and they seem to start from £250 - £300 for the ones mentioned above. So thinking about it im going to get a new one through the cycle to work scheme at work. Works out only marginally more expensive than the second hand prices but i get a brand spanking new bike :-) But i can't decide between a hybrid or a road bike. It will mainly be used for casual riding on the road, along the river etc. I noticed with road bikes your leaning low down whereas with the hybrid your a bit more upright. And also i've heard that with road bikes im more prone to damaging the wheel/getting a puncture. Taking everything into account i think a hybrid is going to be better suited for me BUT i for some reason im drawn to the road bikes. Also had some folk mention that hybrids are a waste of time. So confused :-( Oh and i've narrowed it down to these 2. The Specialized Sirrus 2012 (Hybrid) or Specialized Allez (road bike). So from what i've mentioned do you think road bike or hybrid would be better? Am i really going to notice any difference? Thanks
  23. Hi, can you put me down for a black one. Cheers.
