  1. My central locking switch is mounted next to the headlight switch. Looks ok. It's a newer style window switch.
  2. Was out for a Sunday spin when dashboard starting beeping at me. Then I noticed that the temp was 134! And I also had the battery light flashing at me and the temp light flashing! Then as I stopped the ABS light started flashing too. A quick check under the bonnet and the cause was plain to see. The Altenator belt had broken. Luckily my girlfriend is an RAC member so a quick call to her and she arrived after about 15 mins. She rang the RAC and the nice chap came within about 25 mins. After a bit of spanner action to get some stubborn nuts off he managed to replace the belt at the roadside. £5.95 and about 20 mins and I was on my way which I thought was brilliant. Second thoughts this wasn't so much what I did to my Corrado but what someone else did on my behalf.
  3. That looks really nice for the price. I always wanted one of those flip out screens but the ones I liked were £300-£400. I ended up getting a Pioneer one which has a small 2.5" screen.
  4. Sorry mate didn't see you. It's a wonder anyone ever sees me as I only use the rado for the extremely short trip to work and back!
  5. I live up the other side of Bev out towards Dunswell. I've only had it 3 months. The only other rado I've seen since having mine is the mystic blue one near the minster. I'll be sure to give you a wave when I see you
  6. Yeah I'm in Beverley. My rado is moonlight blue but everyone always thinks it's black. I'll have to give it a really good clean to see if I can bring back the moonlight blue again! It's pretty much standard all round. I had a powerflow exhaust put on it last month from Rebel in Barton. I made sure he didn't do it uber loud so it just sounds grumbly.
  7. Mystic Blue? Storm? Apologies if I'm wrong but I didn't see you until the last second and gave a quick wave. Right next to Beverley Minster today at about 1705hrs. Bodywork looked real nice. Very tidy :) I was just on my way home from work. My Corrado does approximately 4 miles per day 5 days a week! I should walk or bike really but I just love my rado too much.
  8. Were there two officers in the car that stopped you or just one? Just thinking that if there was only one then you could dispute it and without a corroborating officer you would stand a better chance of getting off with it. If you genuinely had your seat belt then surely it's worth disputing.
  9. Saw a very tidy looking either black or moonlight blue rado on a gorgeous road up in Scotland. It would have been pointless waving as we were in the family car on a camping holiday complete with black roofbox! Looked good whoever you are.
  10. Took the day off work to take my rado in for its MOT. Went out for lunch dreading the telephone call from the garage to tell me what it had failed on. Waiting for the main course to come and phone rang...gulp...PASSED!! With NO advisories! I already loved the car but now I totally love it. Garage even washed and hoovered it too all for £29. Bargain. Happy days
  11. I've got the Rainbow SLC230's. I've not got around to putting them into my rado yet but from a previous install I can tell you that they sound amazing. I also used to have a Mac Audio ported sub in my very first install (I think it's in the loft somewhere)) and that always sounded pretty good. This time around I'm gonna build a small custom enclosure and put a 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch sub in it. I previously put one of those into an install I did for my girlfriend and was well impressed with the sound.
  12. Saw a silver one in Waitrose/Homebase carpark, Willerby tonight at about 1930hrs. Just in case they're a member of this forum I don't wish to offend but it looked like a mini chav meet. I think I saw tracksuits! Rado looked tidy though, from a distance.
  13. I always try and give it one of these Thanks Team America
  14. My Corrado came with a prehistoric head unit. The type that has a handle on the front! I guess in days of old people would remove the entire stereo and carry it around with them. Thank god for removable fascias! I just bought a Pioneer MVH-8200BT head unit which looks very nice. Problem is that the metal bit at the back of the head unit slot is stopping me from being able to push the head unit all the way in so it clicks. At first I thought it was the wires that were getting jammed at the back so after a brief fight with the glovebox (I have the cuts the prove this!) I removed said glovebox so I could pull the wires clear from the side. But it's the metal bit that sticks up at the back which is stopping the head unit from sliding all the way home. It's so infuriating cause it must literally be just a few mm. Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking about grinding it off with my dremmel. Has anyone else done this? I don't see any other solutions. ***UPDATE - I've managed to sort this now. I bent the bit of metal back slightly and then (just) managed to push it all the way in. It looks really nice. :)
