I don't really see the point of having any sound in the back, after all you as the driver sit up front and probably face forward about 80-90% of the time anyway. If you regularly have people in the back you could set the fader to send a little bit of sound to the rear speakers but otherwise you really just need the sound in the front. If it sounds weird to you at the moment you could tweak the settings on your headunit so it would slightly adjust the balance to the right. It can be a bit trial and error to get all the settings just right. I've got standard speakers in the rear shelves but my personal preference is for all the sound to be in the front so I've got the front/rear fader set to front only.

Watched Fanboys tonight. As a huge Star Wars fan I thought it was really funny. Some great cameos and funny moments. Not sure if you'd really get most of the jokes and references if you're not a big Star Wars fan. 7/10

I was planning getting one of these as the crappy plastic bit on mine has broken and it was always getting caught on my shirt sleeve! Leather Gaitor Not sure if this was like the one the OP bought?

I like Pioneer headunits personally. I've had a few now and never had any problems. I've currently got the MVH-8200BT. No cd drive just solid state media. Can be used to control iPod also. I've got all my music on a bullet USB which I plug into the front. It also takes SD cards behind the removable triangle fascia. The bluetooth hands free is really good and you can even watch movies on it! Had Blaupunkt ones before and they're good although usually pretty ugly. And had a few Sony ones with no problems either but I'm a Pioneer man now.

I saw Battle: Los Angeles last night on blu ray. Not as bad as it's IMDb rating would have you believe. It's your basic invasion movie so no surprises but was enjoyable enough. I give it 6.5/10

As standard the dash speakers have a very simple crossover. The signal comes into the dash speaker (tweeter) and then loops back out to the door speaker.

Saw Tron Legacy tonight on bluray. I was a fan of the original but this is something else. Amazing effects. The way they've done Jeff Bridges to show him as he looked 20 years ago is very clever. Soundtrack is bumping in DTS. And Olivia Wilde...oh baby. I've read other people's reviews about the story but I liked it. I guess some people aren't impressed by anything these days unless it's groundbreaking. 8/10

Watched Piranha on sky movies last night cause there was nothing else on. Didn't have any expectations but actually enjoyed it. Some great comedy death moments and more than enough of Kelly Brook to keep you interested. Watch of for the cameo of Gianna Michaels too...don't pretend you don't know who that is...6/10

Audi Quattro 1/11 remote control model 1983 valuation?
G_Dub replied to OSV's topic in General Car Chat
That is so cool. Sorry can't help with a valuation. I've got an original Tamiya Wild Willy which I'm hoping may be worth some money if I leave it long enough. I bought a Tamiya Hotshot re-release at the beginning of this year for a trip down memory lane. Still lots of fun to build after all these years. -
Just completed purchase from federvg. All went smoothly, item fairly priced imo, nicely packaged and sent promptly. Recommended :thumbleft:

I saw Transformers 3 last week. Thought the 3D was amazing. I wanted to love the film as I loved the original animated series and original animated movie when I was a kid. Although I still enjoyed it I can't get over how the film makers can just randomly change things from the original series. They decided in their wisdom to change the names of two of the autobot transformers - 6/10. I wish they would just do a live action re-make of the animated Transformers movie without changing anything. Oh and watched The Green Hornet on blueray last night. I'm a big fan of Seth Rogen so I enjoyed it but it could've been much better - 6/10.

Have to click 'back' 3 times to get out of pages!

I bet it's this NoScript plugin I've got. I've had a few issues with it. Apologies to the The Corrado Forum...I should never have doubted you -
This seems to have just started happening and only on this forum. I think my Firefox recently updated and it's currently version 5.0. Basically if I go into a forum, let's say Interior. I peruse the new threads and then I click back to go back to the main forum page it sort of refreshes and then the page remains on screen. Second click same thing. Third click and it works. Is starting to annoy me!

Zak. Got my loom and got it all fitted yesterday. Very happy with the results and with the quality of the loom. Highly recommended to anyone who's not got one yet. Next job...lupo wipers.

Took mine in for it's MOT this morning and went away with fingers crossed. Couple of hours later received call telling me she'd passed again with no problems for the second year running...I'm so proud of her, she'll be 20 next year! Popped into the parts department and found out that they now want £50.51 each for a Lupo wiper arms! Guess that wiper mod will have to wait until I can find some from a scrap yard.

Zak Could I please order a 3 relay headlight loom for £50 if possible? If that's ok could you PM me how you want paying etc and I'll reply with my address. I'm not sure about how long they take to make and deliver but I've got my MOT on 19th May...any chance of getting it before then? Thanks

Aaaargh! This is driving me crazy now. I've had the passenger side light fitting apart and all the connections inside look fine. I noticed as well that the high beam flasher is not working on the passenger side either. I tried plugging in the drivers side cluster into the passenger side connector fully expecting it to work fine as I was assuming the problem was inside the cluster. But it's exactly the same. Only the little side light works and the main beam doesn't work at all. Not only that but it had blown fuse 1 again when trying it with the drivers side cluster. And also, I had replaced fuse 11 which is the high beam passenger side and after testing with the drivers side cluster in the passenger side it had again blown. So now I'm back to square one AND I'm totally out of 10amp fuses!! *UPDATE* I won't post yet another reply to my own message but will just add this update. I asked my dad (retired BT engineer old school) to help me do some tests with the voltmeter. The black and white wire going to the passenger headlight connector seemed to be showing some earth which my dad thinks it shouldn't be. We snipped the wire and established that this earth was coming not from the light end. No visible problems with the cable itself. He then had a theory that the high beam bulb in the dash could be causing the problem so I checked that and although it seems to have blown and I will have to replace I'm still left with the same problem. When you turn the main lights on it blows fuse 1. If you try to high beams it blows fuse 11. Am going to get the number from a friend at work who's brother in law in an auto electrician. Hopefully he will sort this as we're fresh out of ideas.

Thanks for the reply. In the picture they're on dipped beam. I'm gonna have another play around this weekend but that cheeky trick idea could work as a last resort.

I did get around to doing this. I checked the reflector and it all seems fine. I checked the fuse and it had blown so I changed it and the light came on fine...for about 10 seconds and then went off completely. Checked and the fuse had blown again within seconds. I'd replaced it with the same rated fuse as the one that had blown. I've since had the battery out so I could check the wiring that runs underneath it but it all looks fine as far as I can see, no splits in any of the wires. I replaced the fuse again and it blew straight away so I'm a bit stumped again now. Luckily I don't have to drive it in the dark at the moment so it's not causing me any problems but it's MOT time next month so I'll need to try and get this sorted before then. Any suggestions would be of help.

TAG, Nugget 16v..... Now living in the land of Cornish-ness!
G_Dub replied to Geo7087's topic in Members Gallery
You live and learn I guess. Sounds like you were unlucky to get pulled over by the cozzers but then again it's hardly an inconspicuous car is it! I remember going to buy my Corrado I was so giddy I probably wouldn't have noticed irregularities in the huge pile of paperwork that came with it. But I did stay calm enough to see that it had a current MOT. I presume that the place where the car is impounded will charge you by the day until you go and collect it. Tough blow. -
No just standard. Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look at the reflector one evening this week now we're getting some daylight back.
-
Just noticed this the other day so changed the main big bulb. But it's still the same. Had a quick check of the wiring connections and all seems fine. I'm probably being an idiot but does anyone have any suggestions? Both lights look the same when on sidelights but the passenger side headlight is dimmer when on main headlights. Is it me being stupid and there's some other bulb that comes on when the main full headlights are on?

I saw you! I looked around and for some reason (I think I was in shock) I just sat there staring like an idiot! Looking good although I'm not sure about the black rims but each to their own (unless I imagined the black rims!).
