I do like the all red rear light clusters but would prefer to keep it looking standard........for the time being :D Well it was only through Rado16v on this forum (Amit, many thanks again mate) that I managed to get it a month ago. A 96k one owner Storm for £5.5k with FVWSH. And am I chuffed?? :D  :D Thought it was a pretty good deal! :D

That's a nice bit of kit but I think these gauges really should have been a standard factory fit on a £20K+ car, even my old D reg Audi 80 Sport had similar gauges as standard! :) Hello and welcome to the forum BTW 8)

...Nor a beesting!....

Niiiiiice! It's got Audi wheels as well too, from a TT? :)

Had a Toad on my MkII Golf 16v, that was a great system! If i were you I'd try to find your instructions or, failing that, get hold of the fitter who installed your alarm. It's only 2 months old so it's way inside the guarantee. :)

Sorry to hear that DM, I have a concept 300, it was fitted 3 weeks ago and have had no problems so far. According to the instruction manual if the system chirps 4 times it is 'armed but the bonnet or boot is ajar' or 'it could be a warning indicator to tell you a sensor is malfunctioning'. How long ago was your alarm fitted? If less than 1 year it may still be under guarantee? If not may be worth seeking advice from your local Clifford dealer. HTH :?

Replaced the chain tensioner and cams last night.

What hourly rate do you charge Phat??! :) Just wondering how much life may be left on my 96k VR tensioner, as there are no receipts to say it's been done :? -
Thanks JK83, those are along the lines I was thinking, just wondered if there were any I hadn't covered! Upgrading suspension is a possibilty, think it's still on original shocks? (they're red at the rear but not at the front?!) Your exhaust group buy looks a good deal although I dont need one just yet, but I'm not sure what to do there, could get one for the future, just in case!

Are Corrado's the best looking affordable car ever?
DaveStorm replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Totally agree Kev, I've loved the shape of the C from day one, it's a timeless classic in my opinion. And let's face it, you don't see 'em every day (well not round here!), the admiring comments I get are unbelievable, not bad for a 15 year old shape which should really be an 'old banger' design by now. But never will be :) To think I actually quite liked them for the first few years they were around  They are looking dated now, and apparently handle like a bag o s*** too, unlike the C! Yeah the styling of the C is similar in some ways to that of the Mk 1 Scirocco, the way the side rear window sweeps up towards the tailgate being a similar design for example. my 2p peeps! 8) -
Hi all, I have recently bought a Storm and, because of its relative rarity, I want to keep it looking standard. However I'm wondering what sort of 'sensible mods' you guys can recommend. It appears to be unmodified (at the moment) but I've read that for you are able to make it better for relatively little money ie uprated headlight loom, Lupo GTI wipers, exhaust system (OE appears OK at the mo tho) and airbox modification etc etc. Let me know what you can recommend if possible, and also where you can get it! Thanks in advance 8)

You jammy get Tom!! Got 96k on mine at the mo & during the winter I'll be trying to keep the mileage low, doing about 50 miles per week now but it's difficult cos all I wanna do is go out in it cos it's just so great to drive! :D
-
Real shame about that car being damaged, it is (was) a sweet looking motor, really think those wheels suited it :( Hopefully someone can get it back to its former glory! :)

According to the instruction manual, under the 'Checking Coolant Level' section it says "the coolant level must be between the MIN and MAX marks on the expansion tank when engine is cold and can be slighty above the MAX mark when it is warm". But if you are in any doubt it may be worth getting it checked out anyway. Hope that's of some help to you mate. 8)

"One thing after another" OR Girls and Corrado's d
DaveStorm replied to Brando's topic in General Car Chat
Only had my C 3 weeks it's been fine so far but after reading this thread I'm beginning to wonder what I've let myself in for!! :? -
I dont wanna buy it but i'd say well over £6k cos the mileage is reasonable, depends on the condition of it as well though I suppose. What would you be hoping to get for it Nick?
-
A nice, low, silver C spotted by Tesco in Belmont, Hereford at 4.45pm today. L** DUB I think??
-
Oops just read the BREAKING VR6 thread, apologies mate
-
How old is the poor girl? Is it really so bad that you have decided to break it? :(
-
we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??
DaveStorm replied to vr6storm's topic in General Car Chat
Hi I'm 29 too but not for much longer  1st car was an MG Metro  followed by a Mk II Astra  Finally saw sense & bought my first dub aged 20, a 1600 Golf Driver, then sold it a year later for a J Reg 8v Golf. A mortgage followed :( so sold the Golf & bought a Helios Blue Scirocco GTX (loved that car, until the f!lth ran a red light & wrote it off  !!) Then had an H reg 16v Golf, an Audi 80 Sport and Audi 100 Sport and finally my N Reg VR6 Storm :D :D :D -
Hi I recently used this company and would recommend them to anyone here. They came to my house, removed the old alarm and fitted a Clifford Concept 300 with full closure for £350. The fitter did a tidy and efficient job and, so far, it's all working perfectly :D
-
Jees that thing aint pretty. It looks like a C from the wing mirrors forward but in a way I suppose it does look a bit 'mk 2 polo hearse'. It also reminds me of the old Reliant 'sports estate' Scimitar GTE!! Sorry, I'm showing my age now
-
Gotta agree with VR6 there. It sounds perfect, there can't be many left like that. Ask the man to log onto the forum so we can see some pics! :)

I could be wrong but I seem to remember a feature on the Corrado on Channel 4's 'Driven' about 2 years ago, i'm sure it was a chap called Mike Brewer who presented it. Does anyone else remember this, or even better, have a copy of it? 8)
