    Headlight Mod

Gavins are the best I'd say, many people on here have bought his looms, including me! 8) He is called H100VW on this site, pm him for details. IIRC it is £50 delivered and believe me the loom is superb, you'll wonder how you managed without it! :) HTH
  3. Agree totally mate. I mean they have the roadster idea floating around (or is that stillborn, I don't know)? But as far as a fixed head coupe goes it would be nice to see what they could come up with today (as long as it's not called C Mk II). I mean here we are with the Mk V Golf whereas our C's are based on the Mk II (not that that's a bad thing, far from it). It's just that it's been 9 years since the Corrado's demise and it really is time they came up with a new coupe, or are they just being cautious, because they had their fingers burned with the C? :?
  4. Don't talk to me about V8 Landrovers, pleeeeeeeeease! If it wasn't for my helping hand, half of them wouldn't be on the road!
  5. Personally I wish VW would come up with a worthy successor to the Corrado, I mean look at the likes of Vauxhall with the VX220, Nissan with the 350Z, Mazda with the RX8 etc. So come on VW pull your thumbs out of your arses and give us something to whet our appetites, not that Herr Pischetsrieder will be reading this!
  6. Ah ok guys you beat me, but obviously it varies according to the pence per litre you pay, mine was 83.9p which i think is fuc*ing outrageous! Living in the back of beyond doesn't help the the fuel distribution costs I guess but even so I reckon it's a rip off, just another overtaxed burden that the poor old motorist has to bear
  7. Just filled up my VR from empty to full for the first time with BP Ultimate. The total came to £53.60!!! :shocked!:  :x Can anyone here beat this extortionate amount??!
  8. Hi what's the latest news on Issue 30, can't be long to go now? Membership renewal time is coming up soon too methinks? :)
  9. Ok cheers may give 'em a try this weekend
  10. So can I just walk into my local stealer, show them my CCGB membership card, and get a certain amount of discount on anything such as Lupo wipers even though I'm a Corrado owner?

    Rust Hot Spots

Inner rear arch lips is an area that's prone. Clean this area thoroughly and often, epecially under the arch around the fuel filler neck, a lot of sh!t collects here. Also anywhere where stonechips have been left untreated such as the leading edge of the bonnet, A pillars, front wings and possibly the leading edge of the roof.
  12. What club? How do you qualify for discount and from which dealers? Cheers
  13. Sat in the pub tonite at about 9.30 and out of the window spotted a gorgeous red C on some sweet rims turning into St. Owen Street in Hereford, reg was J62 JNO I think, only the 2nd C I've seen here in 3 MONTHS! :-P
  14. Yep BMW wouldn't bother using those three little letters CSL (Coupe Sport Lightweight) without good reason, that is one seriously quick car, a standard VR aint got a chance against one of those babys I'm afraid.
  15. :? dont you mean mystic blue as used on the storm?quote] You mean Dusty Mauve  8) So many people I know just don't realise that VW made such a great looking car, I mean it's 15 years old in its basic design but still looks fresh in so many ways, even against much newer machinery, and that is one of the many reasons why we love 'em so much IMHO 8) :luvlove:
  16. Sounds good Henny who and where would that be? My Solitudes are starting to flake a bit, could do with freshening up.

  18. So in that case we could be looking at a 2000kg Golf in 20 or so years time!
  19. First impressions are that it's *ok* but it's looks are hardly groundbreaking. It's just another middle of the road eurobox, albeit a good quality one, but I guess that's how VW want to keep it. Do like the '30 years in the making' ad that's on telly at the moment though! :new-bday: bloody good year 1974!!  :-P
  20. he he WTF is that?! Some sort of amphibious version of * the thing* aka VW 181? :-P
  21. Think it could be *Type 14* Rodders.. 8)
  22. What are everyones favourite Volkswagens, past and present? Obviously the 'Rado is gonna be top of many peoples lists but what about the rest of them, here are my top five in order : 1) Corrado - The best. Say no more. :notworthy: 2) Mk II Golf - Still the best built Golf ever. GTI, 16v, G60, Rallye, Limited, Love 'em all! :) 3) Mk I Scirocco - Better looking than the Mk II and much rarer, Storms are stunning. 4) Mk I Golf - THE GTI that started it all. An icon. :-P 5) Karmann Ghia Cabriolet - How cool? 8)
  23. Ouch not good, hope you can get that rim sorted, some of the fuc*in roads in this country are a disgrace. :x You are doing the right thing by taking photos and sending letters, I'll wager that road will be fixed in no time if you kick up a fuss. I did this a few years ago when i went over a pothole in my 'rocco, the force actually cracked my windscreen!! I duly claimed and got the full cost of a new screen off the council, and within 3 days of it happening, the hole was magically filled, a$$holes.
