  1. Hmmm wonder if it could just be a characteristic of the mechanism then, if it's still working 9 months on? It's a very good idea to make sure its kept thoroughly greased though, I really DONT fancy replacing the sunroof!
  2. Nice one Kev, will get some tomorrow, cheers :)
  3. Digging out this old thread I know but mine does this a bit too........so what's the best sort of grease/lubricant to use on the sunroof guide rails etc? Can I use any old grease or just use a lubricant spray?

Didn't know the bonnet was galvanised Mike, is there anywhere else on the Corrado's bodywork that was also galvanised?
  5. Didnt' VW themselves do a pink Mk 3 Polo coupe? One of the many special editons they did towards the end of it's life? I am sure I've seen a few about in the past. :?: Or does anybody really care TBH?
  6. Jesus somebody got a bargain there! You dont even see many 16v Golfs going for that. Agree with you about the shadow effect though, but at the end of the day, if you can pick up a C for £400 with good bodywork but tired mechanicals and you then put say a 20vT engine in it, you have got yourself a bloody good bargain IMO! :)
  7. How much Rodders? Makes me wonder how looooow Corrado prices will go even for *old 1.8 16v bangers*
  8. it's getting ridiculous round here now! Saw another C behind me in St. Martins St. at 4.30pm. You followed me up the Belmont Road then turned off into Newton Farm! It looked like an early Helios Blue 16v (G Plate), ANYBODY HERE FFS???
  9. Spotted a red C behind me (couldn't see the grill badge, you were too far back) going over the new bridge in Hereford at 5pm. You were heading towards Ross on Wye. Ain't it typical, I'd hardly noticed any Corrados around here until a couple of months ago, now they're popping up all over the place. So much for standing out from the crowd!  Ah well at least these unknown people have good taste, just wish they'd take a look at the forum sticker in my side window and make themselves known on here! :)
  10. Yep it sounds like we all have the same thing then. :? Doesn't seem to be a major problem, but I'm sure it's not meant to make this noise
  11. Yes Bolster, it's quite loud on occasions, can usually be heard in the cabin even with the windows and roof shut.
  12. Ah mine also makes this noise, usually feel it through the clutch pedal as well. Also I sometimes get a highish pitched squeak/groan coming from the front of the car  , only happens moving from standstill and it is only occasional, any ideas guys?
  13. Standard Storm BBS Solitudes, and before anyone asks, I WILL sort out that ridiculous standard ride height eventually!
  14. Cheers Jedi, that's the one, bear in mind it was a Stormy day there though.......
  15. Went to the AGM on Sunday and some nice chap has taken a pic of my car and put it on the CCGB website. Not sure if I'm able to link to the page, but it can be seen by going into the gallery section and then clicking on 2004 AGM, it's the middle picture on page 2. Cheers Dave
  16. Nice looking storm storm monkey! :) And only 60k! Nice one :) :thumbleft:
  17. hmmmm had a bit of a play with one of those on a local road coming back from the AGM, I wasn't going flat out to begin with but was quite surprised he kept up well on the straights and through the twisties. Soon saw him off though when I decided to really boot it he he spoilers up bye bye :fist:
