Yeah, they do eat pads quicker, which unfortunatly leads to more brake dust!!! But as you say, its definatly worth the trade off!!! Again, it all depends to how you treat your discs too. I have heard of people cracking some brands of drilled discs but if you aint doing track days or massively heavy braking you should be ok and a lot of manufacturers now have protected against that i think. In the end, i still say its down to basic looks as the all do look different. I do know someone who cleans his brakes every two days at work (and that was on std. brakes) so if your that dedicated, the dust issue wont be a problem!!!

For a start, you dont really need cross drilled discs. The only cars that need them are cars that have problems with over heating brakes due to high power usually with a combination of weight and drivetrain etc... Porsche, cossies etc.. For sheer performance you need Grooved discs with race pads. a bit extreme for the road. So what your looking for are grooved discs with fast road pads or drilled and grooved discs with the pads. Both are fine, personally i use TAROX drilled and grooved discs and their fast road pads and think these are excellent, the holes stop fade and the grooves deglaze the pads. Discs that are just grooved also do a very efficient job of removing heat due to their design. So, basically it just comes down to what you think looks better! Thats basically why i chose mines. I used to run Pagid pads and i really hated them! though lots run them with no complaints so i guess its personal taste. HTH

Totally, i didnt used to mind my old dull lights cause you dont notice it over time, but when you do it! you wonder why in gods name you never got round to it sooner!!!! Think it must've been a fluke with my grille though, cause apparently, i have heard they are not meant to fit but hey, mine did. Just fitted my trimsport wiring loom today too. not to tricky at all. a bit fiddly, but isnt everything under the bonnet in a C!!!! Dont know about the improvement yet cause i aint driven it in the dark yet!!!!!

Hey folks, After many people telling me i needed new bumpers to fit late spec fog lights and indicators, i took the plunge and bought a full set from the GPC stand at inters. Tried fitting them today...... THEY LOOK FANTASTIC!!!!! New bumpers my AR$E!! Slight modification needed though. took me a couple of hours. Anyone else could do it much quicker. (I was dodging in and out of the rain and had a visit by a mate in the same time frame!) It was a piece 0 pi$$ to fit, and tidy up the front no end! Also decided to get a new grille, as i had the 7 or so bar versions. I'd heard of many different ways to fit these so wasnt sure. I ended up just clicking it into the holes that were already there!!!! All in all, it was quite a productive day for me. Should be sound deadening the car, fittin my new speakers and door builds and doing my headlight loom at the weekend!! :D

That may be a bloody good idea, at least then he can see what we're talkin about! The Guy Guss hasn't replied to me yet, even though i have seen him post on Yahoo Lately :? Think i might put up a post on yahoo lookin for him.
-
Just e-mailed the Guy Gus i was talking about, He didn't reply to my last mail, so ill just have to see, he said he spoke to the guy from Nomad so we'll just have to see what happens. By the way, i suppose i should ask, but how much is everyone prepared to pay? Cause i dont think its that cheap! Though, you've seen the quality he works at, everyone that's had them fitted says that they look like they've always been there! No offence meant to bazgreener, But im sure everyone can see the major difference in how this is set about. Rgds

Hi Tony, Sorry mate, been a bit to busy lately to get round to e-mailing him. Heres a couple of pictures of his work, I would be interested if he can do the OE quality, another thing to note is, Has every one got the same colour of a-pillar? I would probably be up for using my a-pillar as a guinnae pig unless someone is quite close to where he is based. Another point of interest for some would be that i just found this site http://www.supremepowerparts.com and they're a-pillar pods look completely standard and the DOGZ really. only prob though, they're americans! and the dont have a C listed . Ill leave these photos tho and web address and e-mail address. I am interested, Ill e-mail that guy guss again, thatll be 2, then Tony - 3 then well need just 2 more, but again it all depends on wether he can do it. http://www.nomadracing.co.uk/ mailto:[email protected] Regards

Last time i checked it was 17, tho a friend phoned for a quote and was also told that it was a 16 :? I think they make it up as they go along!

DONT SAY THAT TO RODDY!!! HE'D KILL YOU!!!! Nah, seriously, had a look today, dont actually look to bad!, Garage says 1 needs chnged, but ill have a closer inspection when the rain is off! Really fancy Pirelli's tho, was going to get 205/40's on the front and do the back at a later date. Unfortunately the garage told me this was illegal!!! The larger tyres MUST be on the driving axel!!! Which in the Corrado, is unfortunatly the front :(
-
Seriously??? :?

Dubcharged, No offence mate, but i have one and its pretty crap. Could just be mine but i dont think so. I had it fitted and rollin roaded and the gauge aint readin out a true figure. The oil pressure gauge i had also, had pretty cheap connections and i lost half my oil!!!! Ill be gettin some autometer ones instead, wont suit the C as much as the splitfires tho, but apparently they are the Dogs Bollocks!

GazzaG60, Aren't they supposed to wear away quickly??? :?
-
I've heard good things about Goodyears but not sure if they're been run cause they're cheap or if its OE or just cause they can!?!?

Cool, How much are the Avons? It is a damn pity about the Toyos yeah. Im actually going on the word of my garage, theyre gettin close to the markers on the outsides, probably worse on inners. Well, on one tyre, the other has a bulge on the side of it. The Rear are ok and are 215/40. I dont mind a different size on the front, just heard it can be a bit harsh. was always going to go to 205 regardless to get rid of my spacers on my front wheels but am actually startin to like the 'chunkiness' of the 215's! LOL Just SOOOOO unsure of what to do! ???

Right , No offence was intended towards Tom, Its just that personally, i know that if a ccertain topic, were in a certain section, it would depend if i would look at it or not. I hardly ever check anything on the general forum at times. As for new users, i took me ages and for my mate Mike to tell me that you could click on a "View posts since last visit" link, again, another reason why i was worried less people would see it. Back to the main point though. As paul pointed out, the Toyo's are a great deal, but like i said, I overlooked them for the reason of, They wont be available for up to 2 weeks And i need these, this week! Its Ventus (by Hankook) i have at the mo, used to think they were ok, i now hate them! I have always heard good things about Pirelli P Zeros and wondered if they were worth the cash? I also think i may of heard bad things about Dunlops, but cant remember, hence the post. I have heard of people trying a brand and swearing to never go back, i have no real experience of performance tyres and i wsa looking for the info of others for guidance. Regards
